When I was younger I could TOTALLY wear any cool color I pleased and mostly wore the bluest red lipsticks and cool blue grey and frosty white and lavender shadows. I was also able to wear screaming orange lipsticks and orange blush. I had a cool silver frost lipstick I wore all the time, more silver than Grey Friday and that was fine. I also had matte browns just like Nude and EE - even yellower than those! Basically everything looked good and I lived it up!! It didn't occur to me to follow any rules - everything looked good, except certain shades of red. Maybe the pictures you've posted make you look whiter due to the flash, but I'm guessing you shouldn't worry too much about NC or NW and just wear whatever you please, especially if you have a foundation you like.
It's only in the past few years that my skin tone has been shifting into a definite NC situation. Before, I didn't wear MAC foundations, but I honestly didn't wear any foundations at all. My very first foundation was MAC because in those days, their foundation was considered the best. I honestly can't remember what number it was. Then I had a laura mercer tinted moisturizer I'd barely use in the lightest shade. When I finally got matched again for MAC foundation, I was a perfect NC15 in the cream Mineralize - like you couldn't tell at all - and I could wear it all year round. Now my skin's changing again though, and I may have to go to NC20 - last time my MA did my makeup, we used Light+ BB cream as a primer and then NC15 of the new liquid Mineralize on top and that was a perfect match. I was also using Matchmaster in 1 but maybe for now, it's time to go to Matchmaster 1.5 if I want a foundation I don't need primer with. Or maybe in the winter I'll be back at nc15 without issue. I still love my Elude, though - no problems there! Careblend Powder in Light is still just fine too.
