I've always felt cooler colors always looked better on me. And I def have a yellow undertone. But when I'd go into MAC I'd always be matched NC. But I don't wear MAC foundation anymore. I wear MUFE HD 117 is the perfect match (its for pale skin with yellow undertones)
So am I pretty much neutral? Does that mean I can wear NC and NW? Or am I considered a NW? Thanks again girl!

I'm pretty content with my two lippies. But will try and see more at the counter.
When I was younger I could TOTALLY wear any cool color I pleased and mostly wore the bluest red lipsticks and cool blue grey and frosty white and lavender shadows. I was also able to wear screaming orange lipsticks and orange blush. I had a cool silver frost lipstick I wore all the time, more silver than Grey Friday and that was fine. I also had matte browns just like Nude and EE - even yellower than those! Basically everything looked good and I lived it up!! It didn't occur to me to follow any rules - everything looked good, except certain shades of red. Maybe the pictures you've posted make you look whiter due to the flash, but I'm guessing you shouldn't worry too much about NC or NW and just wear whatever you please, especially if you have a foundation you like.

It's only in the past few years that my skin tone has been shifting into a definite NC situation. Before, I didn't wear MAC foundations, but I honestly didn't wear any foundations at all. My very first foundation was MAC because in those days, their foundation was considered the best. I honestly can't remember what number it was. Then I had a laura mercer tinted moisturizer I'd barely use in the lightest shade. When I finally got matched again for MAC foundation, I was a perfect NC15 in the cream Mineralize - like you couldn't tell at all - and I could wear it all year round. Now my skin's changing again though, and I may have to go to NC20 - last time my MA did my makeup, we used Light+ BB cream as a primer and then NC15 of the new liquid Mineralize on top and that was a perfect match. I was also using Matchmaster in 1 but maybe for now, it's time to go to Matchmaster 1.5 if I want a foundation I don't need primer with. Or maybe in the winter I'll be back at nc15 without issue. I still love my Elude, though - no problems there! Careblend Powder in Light is still just fine too.

Quote: Some of the neutrals in this collection are sheer even when wet, though. It's a beautiful type of sheer, if you're like me and want some natural skin color to come through and want to hide eyelid texture really well! The dark colors in these MES are rich and velvety like crazy when applied wet, though, so she missed the mark with the black part of her sample.

Ah, thanks Liba. I should have read your reviews more closely. Sheer in a MES neutral is completely acceptable with me. Definitely still on for Until Dawn. I've never had a problem with the textures when foiled luckily, but I was disappointed with the sheerness of the Apres Chic collection. I think I was expecting something more vivid from those shadows. Glad to here about the darker colors, I need a black.

As for the rest of the collection, I think I'm only interested in the Black and Gold pigies. Unfortunately I already have Naked. Wish I could swap it out for Blondes Gold. Then it would be perfect. Ah well.

The Captivating MES in this collection reminds me of This & That MES duo. I hope I'm not far off because I'm skipping the e/s this time.

I bet C is way more yellow-gold.

Hope your dad gets well soon :)

The lippies. PP and YGI are my favorites, surprisingly YGI made the cut - I hate frosts. But this one is gorgeous !
Omg I love ygi and ff! I'm tempted to order :sigh: which would work better to layer over lipsticks? I can't stop staring at ygi! Ugh! Lol

So I happened to go on break earlier and saw that the collection was up. I ordered private party lipstick, you've got it csg, lured to love Mb and lavish living mb. I don't know why I ordered lavish living, at the moment it was just so tempting. I'm hoping it doesn't make me look bruised ...! I would like to say I'm done with this collection but after seeing janineios swatches, I want ygi and ff lipstick. I also want to get talk of the town mb! It just seems like such a pretty highlighter. Hopefully I can gain some self control and not place a second order until I see more swatches.

It's not as original, honestly.

I actually really am into Divine Night, because they're genuinely trying to make new formulas that work in new kinds of ways. Also offering a few lip colors that are rather unexpected - who else is doing colors like Exclusive Event?

Thanks again my dear! Really means a lot that you took the time to explain everything to me. You're the best!

And yeah the flash makes me even more pale. But I still am very pale lol.

On topic...How shimmery are the lighter blushes? They look mega shimmery in some pics and not as shimmery in others.
