Thanks Miss M Monroe & Richelle for the PURTY swatches! I'm disappointed I missed out on PP waiting out the PRO discount issues. It looks SO good on you ladies!
I did call MAC CS today and asked nicely about the situation with the PRO discount confusion. I spoke w a lovely woman named Janet. She explained that there is a memo across the board that there's NO PRO DISCOUNT. However, she did acknowledge the mistake with that PRO email that said we get our discount. So, as a one-time order courtesy, she said I could place an order and get credited for my discount. But it's only a 1 time thing. Any future orders will not get the discount. So I did place an order. I didn't splurge as much as I wanted to, because I'm still uncertain about all the products. PP is already sold out, so I missed out on that. May still grab it and pay full price, as it looks gorgeous in these new swatches!
So, if you're a PRO member... put everything you want in your MAC cart and then call customer service. They will access your account through their system and then send your order # directly to get your discount credited. Make positively certain you get everything you HAVE TO HAVE in this first order you place.... cause that's your one chance!
I'm disappointed it was such a confusing launch AGAIN but have to give MAC huge props for how they handled it this time. They didn't try to place blame elsewhere. They extended the discount to a one-time order for the miscommunication. Overall, I appreciate the way I was treated.
I have never considered my PRO discount something I am owed. I consider it a privilege. A privilege I worked for and pay for. I have NO problem paying full price for items I want. And have done so MANY MANY times. I just thought MAC held back on that info with this collection and it made things difficult with a collection where we typically get our discount. I don't EXPECT a discount. But I would like clear communication so I can plan accordingly. I just wanted to clear that up too.

Good point.What is the point of this "code" system if everyone that asks gets a pm? This girl (thebeautymark) only has 2 posts. Shouldn't there be a minimum post requirement? Anyone can log in and ask for a pm. That was her first post!!!!!!!

Keyboard gangsters!!! I love that!! I saw a really really nasty comment on a video the other day. Curiosity got the best of me and I checked out their other comments. They are all ugly nasty comments. I saw that someone asked her if being nasty on youtube was her hobby and she replied to them saying that she was just expressing herself and being honest. WTF is that?? I bet she wouldn't walk up to say something like that to someone's face. People scare me lol!
Of course UPS came right when I was going to really do my makeup, meh. Barefaced as usual! Private Party

Also to note the MSF is 7.5g and picks up a ton of product very quickly, not as dusty as the Trop Taboo ones but very close.
And my greasy little fingers prints are all over the packaging!

not trying to upset anyone-don't worry-I am not an evil bayer! I retired from MAC and own my own makeup freelance company now. I need certain things, just like all of you, so if course I like to know what is going on. I am also happy to share any if my findings that will help you out, such as my second post about calling CS and being able to get the pro discount if you ordered yesterday. I understand your concern-I just want to out your mind at ease that you have nothing to worry about here!

Just joined I have been a lurker here everyday since 2012, never thought to join I first came here to find what my son ( who passed away) found so interesting here. he wanted to be a MUA and this was a site he visited everyday.
Since coming here I now have what you can call a makeup collection I was never a makeup buyer my makeup consisted of those freebies that you get from macys , dillards when you spend x amount so I would time my skin care purchases around these free gifts.
anyway I just joined because I was reading the threads about e-bay and realized how a lurker could be viewed.
I think this place is great I have learned so much and I think this is a great site. Specktra should get commission from Mac cause all the excitement you guys create sure makes you feel like you need to buy all the collections.
anyway I am not Technologically savvy, but I come here before I buy any makeup and not only Mac. I just purchased my first Dior, Guerlain, and now Chanel just because of pictures and conversation I saw on this site.
which I don't think I ever would have purchased if not for the opinions of people here.
