Yes Nordstrom can take a few days but the shipping is always free so I have no problem being patient with them. NM shipping takes a long time and I don't order from them unless I have absolutely no other options and the shipping is free. Being that there are a few NM around me, I rarely ever have to order anything from there anyway. I don't shop at Saks.

is golden mink a keeper or should i call and get it sorted?? was it one of the drier quads, i know there are 2 shimmers............

I have the Brow Sculptor, Thank God it was a gift ,its not something I would buy again. Especially at the price. I also have a eye color quad, which I do like. Also I like the packaging. Will post pics later.

I just ordered intensity 1. If i like it more ill just sell my intensity 2. If not l just return intensity 1. But i think 1 will work because 2 is too red like ingenue said on her blog. I thought it was red but was in denial because everyone seemed to say it was neutral.

I hope it works out.

I haven't tried Golden Mink yet but it has more shimmer to it than orchid haze. I was considering it along with Cognac Sable but ended up with Cognac Sable as I figured I could do stronger looks with it than Golden Mink. Edit - I really like Orchid Haze. I don't think you can go wrong with that one.

thanks, a lot of the reviews said the new quads were of better quality, i would not know difference as i have no eye quads!

i'll try to see if they can switch before it mails, if not i'll just go with the flow and see how it is......

Golden mink has a lot of glitter/shimmer. It is not my favorite.

FYI, in this month's In Style, there's a section on lipsticks, which includes choosing shades for warm vs. cool toned skin. Their example of a warm, tomato-based red (why am I craving pasta?) is Tom Ford Rouge Fatale. So I'm guessing that gives an idea what to expect from that shade. I love warm reds as much as the next person (although I kind of prefer cooler ones), but it seems like EVERYONE is rushing to come out with their version of that colour, whether it's in cosmetics or clothing.

thanks for the heads up! a few friends that bought some of the original colors have said they got dry pretty fast......i wonder if i should bother with burnished amber? i was planning on using the cranberry color as a blush and the rest as e/s......i do have guerlain's turnadot and i am not a huge e/s person, i love them but am quite happy with a small edited collection

i called BG and they were able to send me in the pink through neiman's, pretty cool they can look at both if it not available at one or other.....they said they now offer free returns just like nordies so i can just return golden mink in the same box, with a label that's included and they will come to me and pick up! i got in the pink b/c it's LE and orchid haze is perm...

shipping is two weeks btw, i forgot to put in 2 day upgrade code and now its too late, my own fault that i didn't call sooner but still a long time!!

has anyone loved in the pink?

i know reviews were quite mixed....y'all may think i'm coo-coo but frantic pink blush looks great as e/s on my med skin!

i like white sauce for my pasta! but it still made me hungry!

what is the red rule? warm skins stay with warm reds? are cherry lush + crimson noir warm?

i like the name of vampire kiss better! i wish i could see all of the reds - perm, the last holiday four (they are all still available btw) + these two all together in a swatch!!

regarding the reds in tom ford, they also had a red in the original white packaging lipstick collection called smoke red. I have a paper swatch of their red family...it isn't complete tho I will try my best to collect the remaining items haha. Anything labeled in purple are lipsticks and in light blue are nail polishes. Frankly speaking I really don't think theres a need to acquire everything since a lot of them look extremely alike in action. too bad I can't help it as an obsessive tf collector lol. Can't wait for the new colors vampire kiss and rouge fatale!

@pbpink: as you can see in the photo (sorry it's a bit dull i havent tuned the brightness yet) cherry lush is definitely a cool toned red. scarlet rouge is warmer.

I think that the general rule with reds are that warmer reds would go better with warmer-toned skin and cool with cool, but since most people have a mix of both cool and warm tones in them, it usually isn't quite so simple. I can get away with most reds, unless they're very warm or very browned.

I like the looks of Ginger Fire. I have looked at pics of discontinued lipsticks and I'm so sorry I missed out on Warm Sable. It looks like a great color for me.

I feel that unlike neutrals nudes or pinks where tonal changes can have a drastic difference, most people can pull off a wide range of reds. I'm a warm/yellowy toned asian medium but I prefer cool toned reds. although i also have a few warm reds or browns in my stash like TF warm sable or mac approaching storm...

On a side note, my favourite tom ford red is the limited narcotic rouge. I'm starting to freak out about stocking up a new one because my current one is nearly half gone. (but they can't be found anywhere...sigh....i hate limiteds.

I changed my mind on the Bronzed Amber cheek stick. I'm going to wait to see what comes out in the 2014 Spring/Summer collections.
