I wont give up and at the same time I cant wait to clear all these windows in my browser as I still stalk every site lol....feeling like a loser but oh well, I hope this ish pays off!
Looks beautiful on you. Think you should get a backup or two.Wore riri nude today for the first time with subculture and boldly bare lipliners.. I'm nw10 or n1 so it's super brown on me but I'll wear it anyway !
This exactly sums up the Specktra evilnessLooks beautiful on you. Think you should get a backup or two.
Thanks Liba I tried it and that works indeed better than filling the entira lips with liner before.I'd have to agree it's a bit challenging to put on straight from the tube. I wouldn't want to cover my entire lip with any lip pencil first either, because that'd be really hard to get a perfectly even layer of.
What works best for me is to pat a layer of TTT on from the tube, dabbing instead of swiping, then use my finger to warm it and pat it more into the skin - this gets it nice and even and gets the basic shape going. Then I do a second layer from the tube a little more heavily in a bit more of a swipe - but this color you really do have to apply in an even layer and people tend to put a little extra in the center of the lip - avoid doing that. After this, I either go back and define the edges with a brush - I use a flat edged sable hair water color brush instead of a makeup brush - gives the sharpest thinest line because fine art brushes of that level are made with extreme precision and sable is the most resilient for tight details. OR take your liner and now put it on along the edges, right on top of the lipstick! That is a good trick. Blend everything in a bit around the edges with a brush but not on the lip as a whole, because again, it makes it patchy. I think lip primer would be a help too, but I'm not sure if it would lessen the heavy matte finish - I don't own any lip primers personally.
Tres Magnifique!! (pulls out French book) lol it looks good on you, what do you think ab it?
Nope. However, I do fill in my lips with currant and line them. It still tends to get a little patchy but not to this extreme. When I use a plwll the line tends to stay more dominantly though + TTT on top of it (whether the lip is filled or not) tends to feel like I have been playing with an eraser on my lips... It is a high maintenance lippie though, but I love it to bits.
i liked the application of FOD better than TTT. TTT needs some WD-40 infused inside lolIt's a lot of work lol I know it is similar to Fixed on Drama, do you find FOD easier to work with ?
ETA : no I don't have P+P
FOD will do the same without prep and prime I am afraid. It is the same but more brown on me. I have not had an issue with it being hard to work with. Some lips are easier I guess because they don't require a liner etc but most dark ones I have to exfoliate, line etc. I always use prep and prime. It makes it last and it keeps down migration unless you use a slick gloss on top. What did you use under it or over it?It's a lot of work lol I know it is similar to Fixed on Drama, do you find FOD easier to work with ?

Prep and Prime should help with the application issues. I really recommend it.Thanks ladies I used what I usually use with retro mattes a cherryculture lipbalm and I tried homéoplasmine (recommanded on the RM thread). I do have the liner but I think I like it better without. M y mom is comming to visit next week she has P+P I'll try it with TTT we shall see ^^
For those old skool mattes and some of these retromattes Prep & Prime has really saved the day. I find layering a lippy with Lustre finish or the Tinted Lip Conditioner underneath works okay too. I don't usually need Prep and Prime for other finish lippies. I thought Cyber was a lost cause until I tried Prep & Prime. I read someone tried the Tender Tones underneath too and that works as well. It will probably shorten the wear time, but at least it doesn't make my lips look like I haven't had any fluids for a week. (Runway Hit--I am looking at YOU).P & p is a must for me. I rarely wear l/ s without it.
