I do wonder if this collection will be as crazy as the last one in terms of demand since the products aren't all that great. I feel like there was more anticipation surrounding the fall collection (TTT and packaging).  Maybe we get "lucky" and instead of waiting online 3hrs we'll just wait 2....lol
I think it will b the same or worse only because its the last one

DIAMOND BLUSH V HIBISCUS KISS Hey Spectrarettes, I purchased the RiRi Hearts DIAMOND blush based on all the hype here. I had not even seen it. It's not for me. For some reason, I thought it would be like the Hibiscus Kiss. It is not. I think Diamond works best on pale skin. I know several people were looking for a Diamond backup. I would love to swap with you for the Hisbiscus Kiss Blush. If no response, I will return it to the Belk in Westminister Md if someone wants to buy it at the store. It has NEVER EVER BEEN OPEN. I can tell without applying that is is too light for my complexion.
hi diamonds is a highlight so its suppose to be light. Maybe u will like the actual blush that came out with that collection. See if u can swap or sell it which is done in the clerance bin section... good luck!

I always thought this was standard business practice in general. You don't know how much product is going to sell no matter how much of a "buzz" is created. And you never want loads of product going down the drain because you overestimated demand.
True to a point. You don't know but clearly dropping 10-14 lippies of the TTT color to each store is a joke as well as small quantities of the other items RiRi Woo aside. They have folks that follow the buzz around the blogs. That is one of the reason they release the preview of collections ahead of time. They know what they are doing. Estée Lauder, the parent company of MAC, has been at this game for a long time. They know better.

It's a cream colour base, not a blush. While it is a multi-use product, most people are probably using it as a highlighter. Try it on the high points of your face instead right on the cheek and see if you like it better.

Thanks for the response. Are you saying that you put this over your blush?

I've never purchased Estee Lauder, but I have found that I don't have issues with finding stock when it comes to high end brands. I feel like MAC is just one of those brands that is more desirable because the price point works for a larger market, thus probably creating higher demand than say Estee Lauder. It's much more popular with a younger generation than it probably was say 10-15 years ago, so that creates even more hype. At the end of the day folks are still going to stand in line outside to get something they really want. Especially when it comes to these celebrity collab type of products.

That's very true that they don't want to order too much and have the product sit on the shelves what I'm talking about is that Mac already anticipated a large demand but upon release of the collections they only send maybe 3 or 4 each of the items to the stores which was confirmed by members here. This creates a buzz people start going crazy to get their hands on the items then they release a slow trickle of restock. This makes the products seem to be more exclusive Mac did this for all the RiRi collections and it worked everyone was talking about them and couldn't wait for the next release people who are on the fence about buying will buy anyway on the off chance they may not be able to get anything.

I just looked at the Golden Winter collection from Dior and it has a true rose gold eyeliner which I think I would prefer to Cockiness, but I need to see a swatch or read a review of the Dior liner first...in case anyone wanted a true rose gold and not a copper eyeliner.

I didn't see it on Temptalia's color story post.
