okay, several days ago, maybe even weeks. I don't remember who it was (sorry) but someone posted in one of the riri threads something along the lines of "watch Rihanna be the spokesperson for vivaglam" I would like to know who this was.

You're right. It was like a month ago on the Riri holiday thread. But I actually do like it :)

I will probably get this anyways, despite the growing collection of reds I have. But really, because I really like the VG cause I will be able to get behind this despite the Riri factor...

And EVERYONE needs the VG1 lipstick! I'm thinking I need the chestnut liner now though, I love that picture above.

I don't like frost. If it was going to be red matte I would have been okay with it. But frosted lippies I don't wear. The packaging make me want this. Smh

Viva Glam Riri looks almost like a frost version of Red Racer. I'll definitely get the lipglass in support of VG, but I'm not sure about the lipstick yet. I really like the packaging they put together!

I love the packaging! BUT I don't do frosts. I will probably just get the lipglass to pair with the reds I do have. No excitement here.

LOL that is so weird for Santa Cruz!!! Everyone seems to have to ocean vibe..sandals jeans t shirt. I hardly see full beat faces there. Then again horrible eyebrows seem to be world wide lol. I hate the new (I think it's new?) over drawn look. Too long in center and too thick. At least thick brows are in again though I guess. I remember everyone had skinny eyebrows for the longest! As for role models and ALL that. If I had a daughter would I want her to idolize riri? Nah. But honestly I think it has A LOT to do with parenting. I see a lot of moms who don't care about things when their kid is small but when they turn into a teenager suddenly want to try and parent. Like no you have to start while they are young. Obviously children are impressionable but a lot can be blocked out, or discussed. I think the majority of my friends expose their children to things too soon. But that's just my two cents. We're all different and have different views. That's what makes the world great. (Though there are plenty exceptions lol)
Right? It was very NOT SC, although I discovered Urban Decay at Pipeline in 1998. It's crazy that over ten years later that girls brows are still with me. I was so experimental with MU then, I'm glad I lied in a place that was so accepting of physical diversity To me Rihanna is the queen of ostriches. She sort of revels in her ignorance of places, people and cultures. Her disastrous tour is proof positive of how little she cares for her fans. My disgust for her in no way stems from her romantic choices, just her refusal to act like a GD adult. I cannot stand Miley Cyrus but I know she is a performer that generally seems respectful of her fans. I would so go for Cher for VG. Lady Gaga apparently had/has issues with those who aren't thin enough (see her comments re: Adele and Nicola Formichetti) and I felt kind of barfy about her. Fergie just made zilch sense to me, harmless and plastic. Meh, I know I care TOO much! ::::shaking fist in the air::::

Love the packaging. Hate frost lipsticks. Womp womp. This looks like a pass for me. If I feel like supporting Viva Glam I'll get VG I with the bag and the gloss.

I'm kinda sad that people are so down on frost lipsticks. I think many of them are nice, but when they're wrong they are quite horrifying. Red, I think is one color that almost always works even when it is frosty. Even though I'm tired of red I do look forward to seeing more of the lipstick to get a better idea of what it's like. And to clarify (even though I'm tired of going there and this is the last time): I'm the last person judging Rihanna b/c she's not a good role model. I don't think any celebrity or stranger should be a role model ever. However, my post was more about the idea that a man in his lingerie is somehow more scandalous or unacceptable for children to see than someone who's smoking pot. For me, that's seriously backwards. Rihanna can do whatever she wants and her fans can love it and the world will keep spinning.

:werd: Unless, of course, it's for the humanitarianism good they're doing, which, let's face it, not many do. Some do, but not many unfortunately. And only then, and for that alone, should they be considered a role model. And preach!!!
