[COLOR=6666CC]Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been having some serious ups
I'm sorry to hear that! I hope something comes along your way! I'll be sending you good thoughts! Don't feel alone we all get into funks it's the wave of life. I also can't sing in my teen years I even had a singing ban by my parents because I was so bad. The hubby tells me I'm beautiful but I can't sing for crap lol :frenz:
I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a really hard time right now, Singer. Things will get better with some time and I find that a lot of good things do have a long fermenting period (like your forthcoming business venture) so to speak, so keep at it even when it's intensely stressful and frustrating because I am sure you can pull it off. The same with your music. I am sure you will get the break you seek and I'm glad your vice is makeup and not alcohol! :support:   Hey Singer82, it takes a lot for a person to open up as much as you did. I can't sing a lick

but my husband has the voice of an angel. singing and playing music is what keeps him balanced and happy everyday. he is always singing especially when he is happy. Everyone has their vice I'm happy you know that you aren't alone. :frenz:
I've been feeling up and down too. I spazz out on the hubby a lot lately. I blame two kids, school and moving. I also think hormones. And men think they have it hard.. Humph
You're not alone ladies! Fall is my favorite season because it's not too hot or cold but it's something about seeing nature kind of die around you :/ and being darker out. I fight anxiety on the daily which isn't fun! Though, makeup and you lovely ladies always make my day better. :) Gigantic Hugs ladies!!

to all you ladies out there who have been sad as of late. I've been kinda not myself either between hormones and missing my boyfriend. I'm glad there is a place to go to get away from things and that Specktra is around not only for the makeup chat but also that we all get to know each other a bit and it's become such a wonderful and supportive place.

Swatches would make me happy right now, but in the meantime, I highly recommend (from personal experience with Winter blues) get a sun box and use it every day and 5000 mg of Vitamin D twice a week. Most of the time if I do this I can avoid seeing a shrink or taking meds like Prozac!

And a group hug to all feeling blue & back to you NaomiH

Thank you so much ladies! You make me feel like I'm not so alone. Music used to be my getaway, but right now its part of the reason I'm depressed. I sang in a band about 6 years ago. I've been searching to get back in it ever since. Found a band at the beginning of this year, but the band fell apart fast. One of the guitarists decided to stick with me. And I thought this is finally it! We were going to start something, we even have a band page. But he's pretty much given up on me and moved on. I know your probably thinking that's it? lol But singing is my passion. It's my heart. And not doing it makes me miserable. I've wanted to sing since I was a Iittle girl. I keep giving my hopes up and musicians crush me. It's so hard for a female singer to find anything in this town. And my job is driving me crazy. But I'm hanging in there, cause I'm trying to start up a jewelry business that has been in progress for 3 years now and nothing has come of it yet. Were trying to get it ready to come out with investors breathing down our necks. It's a lot of pressure. I'll get in these depressive funks just like we all do, but this one is really deep this time. I just can't seem to get over it. But coming on here helps tremendously! It's more then just a makeup forum. We all support each other and it's wonderful. I've lost a lot of my girlfriends. So being able to come on here really means a lot to me. I'm not going to lie...in all honesty I really can't afford to even buy makeup. I have no savings whatsoever. We barely keep our head above water as it is. But man...if I didn't have my love for makeup what do I have? Some people drink...I buy makeup lol. Anyways sorry for writing a book. I love you all and thank you for just being here. :frenz:
I truly understand the need for an artistic and creative outlet... Here on Specktra, we all do. Its part of what makes each of us feel unique and special. I have to take a sec to tell you how amazing it is that you have kept pushing for your goals and dreams. Many times people feel they need to put those things to the side and then feel regret for not pursuing them more as they get older. Because you dream so big, you're going to feel negative feelings big as well. Know these moments WILL pass. And feel proud of your aspirations and drive to keep pushing forward despite setbacks along the way. Find small outlets for your creative energy... Like all of us with makeup!... And maybe a night out for karaoke! Its sometimes the small things that get us through while we are waiting for our big moments! My thoughts and prayers are with you doll. Good things will come!

What is MLBB? I tried to figure it out on my own but my mind only comes up with Major League Baseball and I know that's wrong lol.

Thank you so much for this! Really means a lot. I tried to push it aside cause it does get harder. I'm 31 and feel I lost my chance. I do look back and feel I could have done more. I can't change the past. But I just can't let it go. It just comes right back. And it's in full force this time. I've pretty much givin up on hitting it big. It would be nice, but at this point I just want to do music cause I love it. Sorry about me going so off topic everyone. We need some swatches badddd! Can't wait! :)

Hehe, that pretty much summed it up for my stash of edes. I took a few minutes to sniff them all and I never recalled them smelling of anything when I first bought them. But I cannot deny, there is a smell. My ANF is used very often and doesn't have the same smell. I can't help but wonder if maybe when they don't get used they acquire that unusual smell. It's like an old plastic-y coating smell on my less used edes.
I haven't used my ANF since many months and it smell the same than the others, so you might be right!

Hey ladies! I'm somewhat new to Specktra and makeup (I've been buying makeup like crazy over the last six months or so). I started with Nars blushes and have made my way to Mac. Are there any items that a NC50 MUST buy from this collection? I really want Superb but just bought Dior Amber Diamond. I saw up thread that some people think they're very similar. TIA!
