I'm trying to figure out if Heroine has been a bigger sensation than Candy Yum Yum. I still kind of think CYY was even more popular and frenzied, but Heroine doesn't seem that far behind. My MA tells me that even now, as soon as their store gets a shipment of CYY, it's gone in a couple of days.

I dont think heroine is as popular as candy yum yum, because not as many people will wear a purple lip. Red and pink lips are safe ground. I feel is one of the reason that this isn't as much purple options. That may soon change. Let's hope.

Agreed. Nobody goes for purple lips in my store. I feel like I'm the only one. Orange is another one that I can't get most people to feel comfortable in. Even when they look amazing. I was complementing a girl on her orange lippie selection and she said it's a Chinese girl thing b/c only they look good in orange. I had to quip back that I thought it was a black girl thing because I look great in orange.

ts funny because I actually have more orange and purple lipsticks. They look really good on me. Reds are not bad on me. But I'm not big on red and I find picks to be tricky on me. I tried steady going and had to take it back. I could not get it to work for me and not to mention that it was really streaky on me.

I feel like I struggle with pinks. Probably those and nudes. Red, orange, and purple I'm good with unless the shades are too pastel/light.

I think a colour like lavender whip in matte or retro matte, would be great as a light pinkish colour for me. The pink has to have a purple undertone to work for me.

I think that is a great idea. Does anyone want to do that. If we find ourselves scrambling to find Heroine we could use the thread to inform each other which stores are better stocked than others.

I love oranges to myself I can remember a couple years back a avon lady was trying to tell me what colors looked good on me she was not feeling my orange lippie I had on I told her I love it and mark my words this color is going to Hott lip color soon oranges are so pretty

That's really exciting news ! Thanks for the info ladies. I am a gloss junkie so I skipped Heroine lipstick in favor of the lip glosses (don't judge me, lol) Do we know if its only the lipstick that is being repromoted or both ? I do have back up of Heroine lipgloss but I am just curious to know.

. I like purple lipstick, but my husband not so much. We were watching TV and someone was wearing purple lipstick. I thought she looked really pretty. He said oh look at that awful lipstick she's wearing---it's purple. Since then I make it a point to wear purple when he's away on business. Knowing myself as I do, I will wear it around him and I'll bet he'll like it and not remember the remark that he made.

BTW, orange is my favorite lipstick and the color that I wear more often than anything else.

Darex2 is growing on me. I like frosty eye shadows however. Am I the only one bothered by Taupe looking more rose than actually taupe?????

I dont 100% trust computer pictures because they dont always show the true colour. But I'm happy it is different from nude. I have to wait to see it in person.

He'll forget the comment for sure. Plus you're stunning to look at so he'll automatically think it looks good on you. Last year my guy HATED the lipsticks I wore (he wanted me to stick to gloss) and now he thinks I look hot. He just smiles when I say, "I thought you hated me in bold lipstick?" He said no to the blue from Melt though.

They just have to train their brains to realize something unusual is beautiful. Even I have to get used to how I look in lipsticks sometimes.

I agree. My guy at first was like...oh you look nice? Lol then over time he got used to it and now likes it! He would probably think I'm crazy too though if I wore blue, grey, I'm not sure how he'd feel about black. I live in a beach town so if anyone is from beach towns on the west coast you know heavy makeup isn't common. I was wearing full face and fod the other day and the Safeway clerk gave me the weirdest look lol

My guy doesn't think he'll like a lot of styles, but I'm pretty good at changing his mind.

Hopefully he knows by now that I am different than any woman he's ever met and I'm not a wallflower. If he wants a woman who's gonna try to look like everyone else he needs to look elsewhere.
