MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

I caved in and pre-ordered Instigator, Punk Couture, and Studded Kiss. I wanted to place an order for MN and PC on the same day so I can use my Triple Points, but I was afraid the lipsticks would sell out. Some points are better than no points. I don't know if I need any BU (probably not), but I can always get them later.

I decided to skip Hautecore. I could not justify getting it. I would probably wear it once or (maybe) twice.

So I got an update on my shipping. They are sending me my samples already. Sent shipping tracking and everything. Allegedly the lippys are coming separately (knew that) but yay this means orders won't be cancelled right!!?!

Yep you should be fine. I hate when Nordstrom sends samples separate! Lol but at least they do it trying to be accommodating

I'm totally tardy to the party. I had seen the black lipstick and wasn't even attracted to this collection but now that i'm seeing the other lipsticks, they have my attention.

I didn't pre order, but when I go home to Vermont, we only have 1 MAC free standing store in the whole state, no counters. Luckily I live only 45 minutes away and my family often takes day trips there anyways. Oh... I'm getting homesick

It didn't even cross my mind to check out the other products in this collection. I was so focused on the lipsticks that I forgot. I'm going to check them out now though!

neon pigments and dark lipglosses! this is the collection that was going to ruin me because all the items are so special colorwise.

Can anyone remember if we've heard about international release for this collection? I think it was mentioned a while back but I can't seem to find it.

I've decided to just call in the morning to my MAC and pay for the lippies over the phone and pick them up after work that day so that I have no waiting on packages. They still had RiRi items 2 days after the launch and seeing how this will probably be a launch with a ton less publicity and no colours that are highly coveted like Heroine or something in it I'm thinking it should be okay. I hope that I do not regret this decision. lol

im not gonna chance doin a pre-order on nordies site cuz for it to be this early shyt will definitely get cancelled. just like when folks thought they were pre-ordering for the riri collection!! this comes out the day after xmas so i'll just have my girl put my order to the side. im thinkin i only want one from this collection anywayz!

It is NOT with this collection but with Magnetic Nude which is why it is not up with the PC items for pre-order. Hope that helps.

The Macy's in the mall nearest me doesn't, but the one in the mall that's really far from me does. Guess I'm lucky that the mall close to me has a Dillard's and a Nordstrom in it.

My mall is MAC heaven. It's 5 min from my job, and has a MAC store, two Macy's (no idea why), Dillard's, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth. So I get a MAC store plus 4-5 counters if I really need to hunt. And I can hit all of them on my lunch break and still have time to eat lol.

Oh you lucky duck! The closest MAC counters to my house are about 30 minutes and about an hour from where I work. The actual MAC store is about 45 or so minutes from my house provided I don't hit dreaded highway traffic.

Not necessarily lol. Nordies sends the samples even if they cancel the orders. Samples are shipping separate because the lippies are pre-orders and not available now but the samples are. It's like when people were receiving their samples separate or receiving them despite their lippies being canceled. Not for is just like that...they'll still give you the samples. I wouldn't assume anything based off of that. I wouldn't worry either though. You have awhile before the lippies are expected to ship anyway so to worry about them canceling is going to drive you crazy. Hope for the best and just keep and eye out for your emails. Worst case scenario is that you need to be ready to order from Mac's release just in case but I'm sure if Nordies were to cancel they would do so by then....unless they ended up taking too many pre-orders and had to cancel some due to low inventory.

As far as I know, this is not a restock per se. More like a pre-order. And I don't think they will cancel any orders at all. I think that if they don't have enough now they will order more from MAC before December 26th. There is plenty of time between now and then. As BFE has said, I wouldn't worry about it ladies.

Basically if they have say 100 and stock and you've ordered 1-100, then you're good. Anything beyond that will be cancelled even if the item is still on the site. As far as I know, this is not a restock per se. More like a pre-order. And I don't think they will cancel any orders at all. I agree, if anyone remembers the Tropical Taboo launch Nordstrom launched Narcissus CSG early for pre-order ("backorder ship date") and as far as I know everyone got their pre-order of that. That's why I wouldn't worry ladies even though Mac scared us w the RiRi cancelations I'm pretty sure we're good lol
