I have to admit I was a bit sad to see the pre-order posted in this thread. I have absolutely no funds right now to make an order but I feel like if maybe it had been announced through the code or via PM, I might have had a chance to pre-order these next week. Now I'm convinced they will be gone by then due to lurkers/ebayers buying up all the stock. And now with bloggers making the announcement it's not looking too good. Sigh.
Can someone please PM me and fill me in on what this code means. I find stuff on sale on sites and I wouldn't know how to tell anyone

I feel like the flaw of the whole PM thing is that someone, no matter how much they contribute, will get left out... Not going to lie that is how I felt in the Heroine thread...

idt lurkers are stalking bloggers pages but stalkin these threads because not only do people blurt them out but we get inside info before the bloggers put theirs up. Use the code... its there to help US... right??
Yeah, the code makes more sense to me than a PM. While the blurting may be careless, I don't think it's intended to be malicious. Often times the longer people are on forums it begins to feel like a BIG conversation with a BUNCH of girlfriends. We aren't naturally inclined to suddenly stop mid-conversation and whisper in someones ear. I think the code was working because the conversation never really has to stop.

I would like to have the code pm to me. I am a member that haven't been active, but I love specktra! You guys are #1 when it comes to getting to products you want and I am so thankful for that.

My fellow Specktra members, please include me in your mass PMs or notifications. I haven't been reading every single thread, so sorry for my cluelessness. Thanks!

Please let's get back to the original code that richelle pmd most about. I think PM people when a collection is up ,like some mentioned here, might result in people being left over.

I apologize in advance but this is going to be a long one lol. Assuming that you aren't new (didn't just recently sign up and have relatively low post numbers I imagine) you likely received a pm with the plan. A post was made saying that if anyone was excluded that shouldn't have been to pm the person that spearheading the whole thing because it was honestly easy to miss some people in the process. So yes, some people may have been missed in the shuffle. But it's been discussed so many times since that I would have honestly assumed anyone that felt like they had been left out would have asked (if you have and no one responded or pm'd you then I apologize because I would honestly have thought SOMEONE would have by now...unless they viewed you as being too "new"). I don't know what the perimeters for being eligible really were though so I can't say who would be considered too new...but I would guess anyone that came in right when a new collection was being released and only had a few posts that were related solely to that collection might be a red flag. Might not be a completely fair picture of a person because they may not be a lurker at all...but sadly a lot of lurkers have created accounts solely for that purpose so it ends up hurting the innocent people. Overall, none of this was done to make anyone feel left out or exclude anyone other than the lurkers that were making it difficult for those members that actively contribute to the site and try to help each other out on a regular basis. Ultimately I'm not too stressed about it but I can see and understand the frustration that others have. I don't have a problem with eBay sellers like others have because honestly, they wouldn't be able to thrive if people weren't willing to pay the prices they set so I can't be mad at them. They haven't broken any rules or anything...they just got to the products before anyone else. That sucks but it is what it is. Our system was meant to try and help our members attempt to get what they want before all of the products are gone. That's all.

I know I've just been here a short time, but I would like to be on the PM/code list, too. I've posted about RiRi stuff I've found at my local store and (hopefully) helped others get things they wanted. If there is a better way to let people know things, I'd like to help. I've really liked reading posts here. It seems to be a friendly, awesome community. Some other blogs I read seem to be so down on MAC that it's really hard to enjoy reading them. I mean, if you're reading a MAC thread, but hate MAC, why are you reading? At least here, if there's a negative comment about a priduct, I know that it's coming from a person who is a fan and the comment has more meaning to me. I know this was a long comment, but I'm just tired of reading other blogs that have MAC reviews that just uniformly bash the company. I just want honest reviews and a place to geek out about something I really enjoy.

I missed these multiple posts then, my apologies. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with everything here. Thank you for clarifying, from the outside looking in it seemed like some sort of clique was formed overnight and it left me feeling a little put off. I understood that we all came up with the idea if someone came up with idea of pming someone if they know who has what they're looking for instead of blurting it out on the threads. Now it seems like it's more than that with collection info only being shared through pm (again Heroine thread for reference). I wish to be included in the loop but sometimes I feel like a nuisance by pming someone who probably has an inbox full of people asking the same question.

I only had kept up with the threads before really signing up. I decided due to the fact that everybody's so sweet & helpful. I'm really against the whole 'buy a couple of LE items, sell them for triple the price.' Tbh, it really sucks that people do that, with the intent of making money & end up leaving the people that genuinely want something for use, empty handed. We can't stop those types of people. But we can certainly help each other out, there are many ways to do so.
