No bother at all. I think that's why WOC or POC is a popular term. You don't really have to get into the specifics of their ethnicity and some people don't like being called dark or deep. Everything can be offensive to someone, I guess.
And yeah, finals are next month but this month has been hectic just preparing for them. Thanksgiving Break won't be a break at all smh.

I signed up for my ups choice the same day of my first disappearing order. AFTER I cursed out MAC and UPS customer service for telling me I had to wait a week for my stuff to show up before a claim could be filed...
Yea, I started having deliveries sent to a family member's home.
It's typically used to describe non-white women. I believe that initially it meant black or African American women, but after a while I think that didn't make sense since many other ethnicities of women actually have "color".
I normally assume that all brown or "dark skinned" black people, no matter the country of origin, are of African descent. Now depending on certain features you can determine if this is not the case. I mean a high melanin skin content is really majorly characteristic of the African continent. People forget that migrations of people from the African continent happened WAY before slavery. Even in biblical times so to speak. After doing a lot of studying of African American history and slave migrations it was pretty evident that African people moved around to or were take to places all over the world. Many latin people, even Australians, and some pacific islanders are of African descent and don't really know it or acknowledge it.
I wouldn't say that you have to, just refer to them as whatever they are. Now if you're not sure, referring to someone of a WOC is normally a safe, politically correct way to go.
