"Blush Support!"

((((Miss TT)))))

I'm a fan of first patting the color on just slightly below the cheekbones, then 'sweeping' up toward the hairline. I do not apply blush on the apples of the cheeks, as I am not auditioning for a spot in the Nutcracker. I tend to 'build' blush. My first application is very sheer. Then I build until I get the hue that I want.

Hope that helps!

*dead* Ingenue the reference is dead on with the time of year and now I have Swan Lake in my head.
I stopped applying to my apples as well, but actually did it today to change things up. It was a really light application though and I look reasonable. However I immediately remembered why I stopped - fear of getting it too close to my nose.

Applying on the the apples rounds out my face... and looks like I'm doing too much. I normally have a strong eye or a strong lip (or both), and the blush needs to complement the rest of my face, not compete with it.

My intensity 1 came but i just came back from the bahamas so im darker now and i barely see it on my face (still see my copper beach though) and intensity 2 looks better with my skin being darker. With that said i still like shade 1 cuz im rarely this dark and i have darker powders that i love and look more natural on me than shade 2 when im my normal skin tone. So im going ahead and selling my intensity 2

Hi Luvlydee. So, I was wondering how you're liking the S & I Intensity1? I was looking at them online but hesitated. I need to be sure or I need a little push from
someone enamored by
the product.

I have Coco Ravish and I absolutely love it. Perfect nude for me. I just ordered 'In The Pink' and got the Savage blush because I forgot to get it when it first came out. SMH. I lucked up on Narcissist in Vegas... probably the last one on Earth. lol.
I'm wearing it today Ingenue and it's lovely---compliments my smokey eye look today. Great nude for me too.

I typically focus on eyes or lips as well. The girls at Sephora were complaining b/c I'm 'dark' but don't wear bold blush which they think I can pull off. What they fail to understand is at my age I understand that less can be more and I prefer to be noticed for my actual beauty and not my makeup. For the most part I would say I've been successful in that endeavor. I don't need to put a lot of dirty looking contour on my cheeks or line outside of my lips + top with lots o' gloss. Then again I'm a professional and the girls in question have only worked in the service industry. The dress code and expectations are different.
eta: Hope that doesn't sound snotty. It's an age and aesthetic thing.

So you ladies are now trying to put Coco Ravish in my shopping cart I see...

YES! I'm of the mindset that unless you're purposely doing 'concept' or performance art makeup, you should wear your makeup... your makeup shouldn't wear YOU. I think I'm of that age too. I cracked 40 last month, and I'm much more interested in people seeing 'ME' -- not the product.

Coco Ravish is amazing Miss TT! I keep having to hide it from clients because they always want to 'borrow' it for the night. LOL

You know I love your makeup. You're always just beautiful and never over done. No one has to be afraid that you might be a different person under the spackle.

Ugh you ladies ain't no good. Maybe I'll put Coco Ravish on my Christmas list. I have a terrible habit this time of year of just buying the things I want, but never being able to say what I want for Christmas.

Thanks ATG. I hope you do plan to try some of the palettes. I'm enjoying my venture into brands other than MAC. Makes for a well rounded makeup stash.

Not at all MissTT. It's about maturity.

Oh yes! It's a nice warm nude.

Happened tonight. I told him I wanted CR lippie and it cost $50. "$50 for a lipstick? Geez you're expensive!" Asks me what I want and then complains. I tell ya... that's why I just buy for myself.
I thought I was the only one who felt like that I just buy it myself including diamonds lol
Diamonds?! You love some you! I say treat yourself you're worth it.

Seriously. You're truly a beauty blogger not just a makeup blogger. Btw I picked up the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder 03 based on some comments you made about it over a year or two ago. LOL. At first I thought it was too light, but now I think I see what you meant. It totally warmed up my face w/o adding any obvious color. I put a lot more on today, but it doesn't look heavy, dirty, or orange. I thinking I made a good investment. Have you tried shade 05? Is there another bronzer you recommend like the 4 seasons?

No limits whatsoever---diamonds, sports-car. My second husband saw that I was good to myself and he needed to be too! He got the message loud & clear.

Oh no he didn't! That's right get it yourself and you have no one to answer to or to whom you must justify what you want.
That's the way you do it, Medgal!
Unfortunately my guy is cheap. Comes from a cheap family. He was a farm kid. I'm kind of the city girl. Over the years he's realized that nice quality isn't a bad thing and I've seen his tastes evolve for sure with the more things I've exposed him to. The good news is he doesn't really get on me about what I spend on certain things. He just wouldn't choose to spend his own money on it. He knows I do a lot of research on items before I buy them and for the most part respects my choices. He would have buy the lipstick if I insisted, but being a grown woman I didn't feel like repeating myself so I just said forget it. LOL. I'm not like that everyday. In this case I didn't want to ask twice for a Christmas present - in essence begging. He did say he was thinking about getting me jewelry for Christmas though.
