Also...with my line of work, I've seen some of the least "talkative" people make the greatest contribution
Again, my original post (that seems to have bothered you) was written to help new members understand what would help this community feel more comfortable. It was written to inform and help, not point fingers or make someone feel that their smaller contribution wasn't valuable or shouldn't be looked at differently than others. If you came on the site and in a few small posts were able to make connections and form a relationship of good faith, that is wonderful! Unfortunately, this is the internet. Not a place where we can see each others faces every day if we just pop on to check things out. If you don't post... no one knows you're here. If you don't come on often, no one will no who you are. That is the fact. It's not meant to be mean. But that is life. In life there are things that are fair and things that aren't. I agree it's misfortunate that some may just look at a post number and think someone may be here to pilfer information rather than become a valuable member to our community, but that's just the way it is. And it is that way because people have been burnt on the faceless internet for a long time. Not just on Specktra. So it makes sense people feel apprehensive. It doesn't take long to build up to 30-50 posts, even if you only comment a handful of times on each new collection. If you aren't willing to do your part to make people around here recognize you, your username, and your contribution, sadly, you probably will feel a little looked over especially during highly anticipated launch threads where the vultures and ill-intended "member" are real and out in full force. And people are often protective of their hard work and information. We have several members here that don't feel comfortable even sharing product pics and reviews anymore due to the high volume of a*sholes that have stolen info and used it without the proper consent or credit. So we have all seen this community become a place where we sometimes feel we need to be a little more guarded. The more popular this sight has become (soley based on the great people and info here) the more we have been a target for people who have bad intentions.
