That's a reward we get for being loyal customers. It's been going on for years. Why you mad about that? I can see why you're upset about the lippies, but perks in general? Jeez. Stores have been allowing certain people to shop uninhibited by the general public since the first caveman shop selling rocks. Okay, i have no proof of that, but you get my drift.Hi there, I don't post often but I tend to lurk when my 18 month old allows it, lol. I also ordered from Bloomies but so far my order hasn't shipped. If you log into your account and look at your orders, it should show the ship date. Mine says tomorrow but who know, maybe it will get cancelled?
Also, just a heads up for those planning to hit a Nordies counter tomorrow...I am a vendor for a beauty brand that sells there and had to work 2 VIP events last week (the ones for the big spenders with Nordstrom VIP Cards only, where they close the whole freaking store for everyone but them) and they were selling this collection to those people. I couldn't believe it! Since then, I believe they've taken it down so it was only for the VIP events. But it would explain why some Nordies have so little stock left. Pretty unfair I think!
Why am I thinking of sending my daughter to Belk tomorrow morning for lipsticks? I'm thinking BGRR is gonna be really nice...

Oops, I'm sorry. The smiley was meant for the 'selling the collection early for the event', not the actual event (though working at them can get a bit rough, lol). I totally get the perk thing though, those customers spend a fortune at the stores so I do get it.

I'm kinda tempted to go swatch BGRR since it looks kinda pinkish, I only have Honeylove and Viva Glam 2 (neither am I crazy about) and really could use a good nude. I'm not going to stress though, I'll call the counters and store tomorrow after work like I did with the Fall launch and see if they have anything left. If they do, I'll take it as a sign I was meant to at least swatch these lippies and possibly buy. If not...

Sooo prettying you! I have to have it. I'll be calling around to a hundred Mac stores tomorrow because work won't let me go :-(I got my lipsticks and I love them. BGRR is exactly what I wanted. I'm glad the second one is on it's way. It's a perfect everyday color. PB is really pretty. It immediately reminded me of Love Goddess. I didn't swatch them together, but that's just what I thought while putting it on. I don't think I need another. (I don't know what my hair is doing there in the front. Ignore that.) PBBGRR

Im so annoyed by my male coworker because hes going to try to get into work a little while earlier (we work near MAC) so that he can buy a few of the Riri lipsticks for xmas gifts if they're not sold out by the time he gets there...which is fine BUT the people hes potentially buying for dont care about the products, he just wants to buy them because Ive been talking about them and he heard from a MAC guy who came into our store who was talking to me that its LE and sells out quickly. Irritates the hell out of me! I tried to convince him not to,given that so many people who are big MAC and/or Riri fans really want it but...no luck

I don't even know what my undertone is anymore because it seems to change daily. Sometimes it's yellow, sometimes it looks more orange. The only thing that's perfect is the studio fix in c 7 I can do nc 45 if I have to but I have to spray fix plus to get it to settle before it looks ok. I can sometimes do matchmaker in 7 if I balance it with a setting powder. I mostly do Revlon Colorstay in rich ginger but I have to set it with a more yellow toned powder to get it perfect.

Them selling early is kinda bogus and gonna make those in line tomorrow really mad. I can't say much though b/c I have an SA who's good for snatching up MAC LE products for me. She's the Manager of Advanced Skincare (which I never buy LOL), but she gets me my MAC. Last RiRi she was away at training and they decided to institute the 1/person rule. She was livid I didn't get the BUs that I ordered. She told me she gets tough w/ MAC to make sure I get my products since I am a loyal customer. She went in on her day off to get my Marilyn lippies b/c they wouldn't give them to her the day before. She told them they better be there when she came, too. Melinda is a G!

That's not to say the recipients won't enjoy them. The products aren't only for "real" MAC/Riri fans. They're for the public. The gift giver is going out of his way to get them something difficult to obtain that may have never crossed their mind. What's wrong with him wanting to give a gift that's hot? He's doing a generous thing. My daughter didn't want anything from RiRi Fall, but after seeing pics on Instagram she changed her mind. Conceivably couldn't the same thing happen to these potential recipients? Every year I give my guy something he never knew he wanted. Ridiculous. It's times like these where I start to feel bad for employees actually. Imagine telling tons and tons of people that an item sold out like 5 minutes after you opened. Even the customer doesn't go crazy it still has to be a crappy feeling because you know that's so bogus. It takes longer for the new Jordans to sell out.
