you would think that MAC employees would know about all collections before hand. i asked about magnetic nude a few weeks ago and i got a puzzled look. and today the manager didnt even know that names of the products!went to counter to swatch superb. i do not like it. doesn;t do anything for me.
i hate the texture. i asked to swatch FP and guy who works there told me "i have no idea what's that i just came in"
My mac does that and sometimes they're just playing stupid lol One girl doesn't know about restocks or something because the other night she was super arguing over riri bronzer online availability lolyou would think that MAC employees would know about all collections before hand. i asked about magnetic nude a few weeks ago and i got a puzzled look. and today the manager didnt even know that names of the products!
Same! That's why I opt for EDSFs over MSFs. I prefer the finish. It seems like it was a random thing, though, since some people's FPs were fine. I haven't tried it on my face, yet, so I suppose that will decide whether it's worth keeping.Thank you for the pic! I hate when MAC change the finish or texture of something, I like the smooth metallic finish you are talking about, but glitters are a no go for me!
yeah i agree. i guess everyone has a different view with makeup, but i got superb and fairly precious and i don't find them glittery. they're the same texture as any other edsf, imo.I can't believe this about superb because i tried it today and has zero glitter. just metallic shine
they didn't change it. it's the same as before.Thank you for the pic! I hate when MAC change the finish or texture of something, I like the smooth metallic finish you are talking about, but glitters are a no go for me!

Girl I LOVE this look. You've inspired me to go get Nightmoth lip liner now. I paired Instigator with Vino but i see that Nightmoth really deepens the look..thanks for sharing!
Soooo... is it or is it not glittery? My FP isn't glittery but it is very shiny. Did something go wrong with some of the batches to cause them to be glittery?
Lol. I just died laughing. And you are my hero! I love Star Wars and now I understand the differences between these colors. My guy is playing Star Wars Legos right now while I play with my makeup and watch. So there has been a debacle in my head between magnetic appeal vs double definition and with pleasure model and BGGG. So before work (and because I'm a royal pain in the ass when I get obsessed with stuf like this) I stopped by macys with my dupes to check this out. Swatches are: Upper is BGGG Upper left is Lovejoy, next is PM Bottoom left is MA, bottom right is DD (both sides swirled together). In the middle and next to the PM swatch is both sides of double definition (light and dark)Yes there's a ton of pics but I took different lightings into consideration. My veredict: Pm: it's def NOT te same as BGGG, while Riris blush is orangier and powderier (still love it) PM is it's fraternal twin upgraded version: better texture, stronger pigmentation, a bit "burnt"more than BGGG, metallic.. While Lovejoy (far left) was on the shimmery and darker /deeper side. If this was Star Wars, BGGG would be LEIa, PM would be Luke and Lovejoy would be vader... Nah... maybe not vader maybe obi wan.. Def a stronger color, same family but different. Ok I'm goin on a tangent. MA: very similar, not the same, MA is rosier and closer to the dark side of DD, similar enough that I didn't get it just cause the differences can only be seen at angles and on different lighting.
im glad i was able to help.
This is Magnetic Appeal and Fairly Precious on me NC30-35 skin.
They're both exactly what i expected... im hoping with a light hand and the right brush i could use MA as a highlighter.... doubt it though. But im sure it will work as a blush for me... maybe even as a bronzer?!?! idk. ill have to play with it some.
These are comparison swatches of Adored MSF from Tropical Taboo and Fairly Precious.
From L-R
Adored lighter part alone
Adored the coral/peach part alone
Adores Swirled together
Fairly Precious
I probably could have skipped Fairly Precious but I have a soft spot for peachy stuff and MSF/EDSF.
I was just wondering how would they compare since I have Adored, so your post is really really handy, thank you so much!
They are my favorite too. Oh, I love them so. Someone said these were less metallic than the original release and they look a bit more like the second batch of EDSF and that saddened me, but from the look of all the swatches, I think they look as shimmery metallic. I hope they are. I love the finish. If I wanted I more subtle highlight, I could get that anywhere. The best part about the EDSF is the ability to give a soft glow or an over the top metallic finish in the same product, depending on how you apply it.Soooo... is it or is it not glittery?
Extra dimension products are extremely metallic, especially the skinfinishes, that is why I LOVE them. They are such pretty highlighters, best ever in my opinion.
