MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

I just got back from the mall and let me tell you that it feels SOOOO good to know that I am just going there to swatch and not rush to get something that can potentially be sold out. I tried on MR, SS and SK. MR reminded me too much of V5. It was nice but I'm definitely not grabbing it. But the SS and SK will definitely come home with me in a few days.

i went to macys this morning just to swatch too..and I forgot to swatch SS and CC. hahaha well watever. i'm okay with not getting those. I want to use my honeylove a bit more before I buy another nude..and im sure there will b many more in upcoming new collections.

I can't believe this about superb because i tried it today and has zero glitter. just metallic shine

I have NO idea why the tester had glitter on it. I am hoping someone maybe mixed something up with swatches. the lipsticks were pretty worn down too. I'll see when I get mine in the mail from MAC.

I'm undecided between Autoerotique and Pleasure Model....those of you picking up stuff today in the NC 42-44 range, what did you think of them? I can't go to the store and swatch and I'm afraid Autoerotique won't show on me.

So these ED products...If I remember correctly, we're supposed to remove the top film (layer) before using right?

The first release of them there was a film on the blushes. This round didn't have that film.

I am currently hanging out at the Punk Couture thread, but I want to pop in and tell you that I picked up CI. I tried it on at the counter and it looked great. :bump:

AM I YELLING? Hahahaha. Guess what I got I went a little after 8. (last night my mac girl said then open at 8am.) Even tho Macy's was open at 6am. They DID NOT have the collections up before 8. I was the first one there, and the only one till 20 mins in. Yassssss!! They were just setting it up right when I got there! Erine, I knew I was right about it lol. :haul: Brothers GF got me one of the RiRi palettes & a secret santa got me the other!

I never said they wouldn't open after macys opened. I just said that if a customer wanted to purchase products they could, regardless as to whether or not the MAC counter was open yet (and the displayer doesn't have to be out in order to buy product, it just needs to be in the drawers).

I wouldn't call it glittery but it is definitely more metallic than the rest. The others impart a subtle metallic sheen. FP screams METALLIC!!!

I felt superb was WAYYYY more metallic and for some reason my swatch did have glitter on both. Lol jeez it's just wierd how everyone's swatches r coming out diff. I guess we can all judge it for ourselves when we get out items.

I can't speak about the Superb from this collection. I got mine with the original release.

I was the first to swatch the Autoerotique blush this morning and it was super pigmented. No film whatsoever! I think some people interchange metallic and glittery. Kinda like how some people would call khaki and tan the same colour, ya know? I think that's where some of the confusion is coming from. The EDSF are metallic in finish, not glittery.

Thank you for the swatches. Glorify is gorg! Would you say Superb is a must have for NW45 skintone. Which do you prefer Magnetic Appeal or Superb? What's your foundation colour in MAC?

I purchased FP and Suberb skinfinishes. They are both so, so pretty and will work well with my skintone. I resisted Hellbound and CI lipstick, because I felt that I had too many things that were close. To me, CI was a little underwhelming, so it was an easy skip.

I don't have a clue what color I am In MAC foundations. I wear NARS Sheer Glow in Trinidad and MUFE in 175 almost year round because I live here in Miami. In NYC I used 173 in the winters. Hope that helps. Personally I like both Magnetic Appeal and Superb. To me they are entirely different and that justifies having both. Superb is a definite pink and MA is more of a rose gold to me. In the swatches you clearly see pink in Superb.

I stopped by the MAC counter while shopping with my family today. I didn't like CI at ALL. It was very brown on me - bleah. When I swatched it on my hand I also thought it looked like Caliente without the glitter, but it changed on my mouth. So glad I skipped that one.
