MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

I think it is because a lot of people think they have similar reds so they skip on it. SK is such a nice red though and applies and wears great. Or MAC might have produced a lot of them. It seems like they produced the least of HC.

It's honestly because people in our city don't wear red lipstick.

Oh okay. Here in Southern California all the 2 MAC stores I went to both had only SK left. I even heard one MU say to another that "there were a ton of SK left" when someone called to put one on hold.

I live in New York City where red lips are abundant. I skipped SK because I believe I have similar reds and I'm sure many felt the same way; it seems generic. Changing my mind slowly after all the beautiful pictures, though! Haha

I would but I'd balance it out so it didn't give off too much of a vampy feel.

I'm in the same boat, I love reds and bc of that I have way too many lol I try to be really really picky now when it comes to reds!

I like using a soft peach blush because it's subtle and doesn't take attention away from the lips. Something like Cream Soda or Immortal Flower.

Yeah, keep it simple. Personally I'd just do bronzing or contouring.

If i finally convinced customers to try on a red lip, they absolutely refused to walk around the mall wearing it! They wouldnt even wear it home if they were going home after leaving the counter. Theyd immediately remove it after trying it on. It was crazy!

I recommend something more on the neutral side (blushbaby, TPC, prism, P&P, etc.) or neutral with slight pink (cubic, mocha, pinch o peach, tenderling, etc.).

That's so strange. I wonder why? Red is such a lovely color
