When you have a endorsement you have to use the brand

according to me, if you are using another brand related (makeup), they make a huge fine.

I don't believe she wears Loreal exclusively. What are they gonna do? Watch her every move? Mylah Morales does Rhiannas makeup and she uses a mix of products. Cover Girl endorses Queen Latifah and her MUA Sam Fine also uses several other products on her. Not just Cover Girl. I see Loreal already has some fooled. They can't use that stuff as performers. It would not hold up. But I digress

Oh, I'm not fooled. My assumption is that if you are paid to endorse something, then you'd wear it in settings where what you have on might be questioned, i.e., most public settings. I really don't care either way what she has on in her videos.

The only time she is required under contract to actually wear L'Oreal is when she is working for them. Public appearances that are sponsored by them, commercials, promo events that are exclusively intended for the promotion and advertisement of L'Oreal and/or their involvement in an event. If her video or album was being sponsored by them then yes, she would be expected to use their makeup but otherwise they have no say in it.

Does anyone else remember when Rihanna was a CoverGirl spokesmodel?

It depends on the terms of the contract. Chances are that player had some sort of clause in his contract that said he couldn't be seen drinking the competitor's product publicly, and that's why he had to pay damages.
