I swear Erin needs her own "Ask Erin" thread because if I hadn't come in here I would have missed this contouring "tutorial" from our resident makeup guru.  You are THE best! I've been contouring and I'm pretty sure I have the technique down, but it never seems to show up on me.  Like all of my work kind of disappears once I add my setting powder, and it looks like I haven't done any contouring at all.  I feel like I spend all of that time doing it only for it to just disappear.  Erin how can I get my contouring to not disappear?    What am I doing wrong? I too am an NC50 for reference. I use the Sleek Face Form in dark, not just a matte blush, so I'm using a powder meant for contouring.  I know you're a mac girl, so here's a link to what I'm talking about just so you can see it: http://www.sleekmakeup.com/face-form-contour-dark Should  I set my foundation, THEN contour?  And so as not to hijack the thread, lemme get back to why I came here... . I used MA today, just to test it out.  I loved the glow it gave my cheekbones, but since I had someone waiting on me, I needed to hurry the heck up, so I wasn't able to really build it to see what it could really do.  I also didn't like the brush I used to apply it.  My 128 brush is sitting in the mailroom at my job, I'll get it on Monday. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture, I was being RUSHED! 

I'm not Erine1881, but I find if using a powder contour, it's best to apply after foundation! Nevermind I missread that,sorry!

Why thank you! My cut crease looked CRAZAY, it was my first time attempting one. Watching way too many past episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race I think. Good thing I was only going to my parents house for Christmas and not actually out in the streets!

Oh! I forgot to talk about Sensual Sparks. I thought it was magically solve all of my "perfect nude" problems but that was not the case. Still experimenting with liners though. Honestly I think a pink toned liner might make it work. I was thinking Hover...

LOLOL!! Thank you! It took me a really long time to do it too, but then when it was all done I was like ugh! I needed to lower it about 1/4 inch at least. It's way too high. I also needed to bring the corner down more towards the bridge of my nose. I'm telling you I thought I was a drag queen for a hot second there. My mom was like what the HELL is on your eyes? She wanted me to Sashay Away.

Now that I'm looking at that video Erin posted, I'm gonna try that swoop up thing at the edge of the contour.

Ha ha! I'm sure I'm not the first person to suggest it. But I'd imagine that would take up a LOT of your time Erin. Folks gotta just stalk your posts or something, to find all these hidden gems of information. I might have to start doing that, who knows what else I've missed in another thread I'm not looking in!

Oh! I had one more question for Erin then I swear I'll leave you alone. In that video you said you agreed with her up until like 7:30. What were you not ok with about her contours on the upper part of her face and what would you suggest?

Is there a dupe for the ita brush? It's still out of stock, I ve been using my RT brush but the ita brush looks easier!

I was looking at Over-Spiced l/g and was wondering if this was a close dupe to the discontinued Revealing l/g. Ive been on the hunt for Revealing for the longest to go over my nudes. When I looked online it seems close to OS. Can someone tell me if these two are close enough for me to stop my search for Revealing? Or can someone give me a better dupe for Revealing if its not?

You just might be on to something. No pics but swatched on my hand Overspiced was slightly lighter and peachier. Then I put 1 swipe of Overspiced on my top lip and 1 swipe of Revealing on my bottom lip. Revealing went on much more opaque than Overspice but when I did another swipe of Overspiced on my top lip both lips matched very well. There may just be very little difference on the lips itself so maybe Overspiced may be what you are looking for.

I'm glad I dug up this gloss for you. I can not believe how many of these creamy nude glosses I have. I really need to stop buying these type of glosses. But when it is perfect, it is just
