Hey everyone. I haven't posted in a loooooong time (apparently so long that my post count is showing as 0?!), but I could use some advice and maybe some space to cry (sorry in advance for the long post).

I ordered all four of the PC lippies on 12/26 from the MAC site a few minutes after they went on-sale. I decided not to pay for 2-day shipping because I'm trying to save money. Now I live in the middle of a major city, where UPS can't and won't leave packages on the doorstep. The next best option is to have packages delivered to my workplace. In the eight years I've been there, I have never had a single problem receiving packages. You can probably guess what's coming next.

According to UPS, they delivered the package to my office on 1/2. I wasn't scheduled to work and was out of town on a day trip. The next day I was snowed in, so I couldn't get to the office to retrieve my package until today. Except it wasn't there and no one remembered anything arriving for me from UPS. I checked the website to see who signed for the package and there is no one at my company with that name. I work for a small tech company and we receive thousands of dollars worth of computer hardware and software on a regular basis. Our UPS guy knows that there are only four people in the office who are permitted to sign for packages.

I called UPS during lunch but was on hold for so long that my break ended and I had to hang up without receiving help. This evening I called back and was told that my package was delivered to the correct address, but I believe they are wrong and that the package was likely delivered to a different business in the same building. I was then transferred to the investigations department and after waiting on hold for over 30 minutes the call disconnected. I called back again, but got a recording that customer service was closed for the day.

After calming myself down I called MAC and spoke with a very nice woman at CS who said they would reship my items, until I pointed out the contents of my order. As we all know, the lipsticks are sold out. The nice CS lady confirmed this and said they can't reship because there is no inventory left. A supervisor will be calling me back within a day or two, but apparently I should expect a refund.

I am so very sad. I don't want a refund, I want the lippies. It's been awhile since MAC released something that I just had to have and I was really looking forward to this collection. Has anyone had this happen before? I'm surprised MAC doesn't hold back any inventory in the event of lost of damaged packages, but I guess if they did the extra stock would have been depleted by people who had problems and paid for 2-day shipping. I can't bring myself to spend more than double the original price on eBay. Is there anything I can do?
Don't give up with UPS. It might mean a lot of time on the phone until you nail it down, but once they investigate, they can very often get your package back. I had a situation where a package of mine was delivered to neighbors (not makeup!) and they signed for it and opened it all up. UPS sent a giant, bouncer-type dude to their door to request the package back and they tried to give him some story about how they were going to give it to me. He just asked them why they'd opened it then and took it away and gave it back to me. Now they're on the UPS shit list too, considering what they did (opening my mail) is illegal.

Thanks! I plan on asking him on Monday. I doubt he'll remember one small package amongst the dozens he delivers to the building every day but it's definitely worth a shot. I'm hoping to get UPS to look into whether any other packages that were recently delivered to my office building were signed for by the same person.

when the riri lipstick launched my order was messed up. I got the run around of it being sold out etc. After a complaint and review a lipstick mysteriously was shipped to me along with a apology email. File a complaint with ups as well

Instigator (NW20 for reference) Instigator vs Cyber Studded Kiss Studded Kiss vs Fixed on Drama vs Melt 6Six6 I love the texture, pigmentation and creaminess of these matte lipsticks. They glide on so smooth!
I love them on you JJJewels!
@babycheri: Thank you :) My lip shape is one of the things I like about myself, though I do find my lips to be on the thinner side. Thank God these lippies don't emphasize that too much! X_x Anywho, I finally had sunlight today so I took full-face pictures with both "Punk Couture" and "Instigator." I have to say, both are difficult to apply because (a) they tug at the lips a bit as mattes, (b) they are dark (lolreally?) and I have no experience with dark lipsticks, and (c) they both do apply patchily, though "Punk Couture" is by far worse. I couldn't get either of them to apply evenly and it took time and cleaning up the edges to make them good enough for camera (which was still far from perfect). Lip liner will probably help but as my lips are pale and they don't have a truly defined line by color, I find liner difficult to apply nicely as well. Now that I've tried "Punk Couture" on completely, I do notice the 'blue-ish' tint it has but it's still not as pronounced as I expected. Either way, "Instigator" is, not surprisingly, more flattering on me and I do like it more. First picture is with "Punk Couture," second is with "Instigator": My skin is sh*t because my body finally realized that I'm off birth control and my hormones are garbage again, but oh well such is life. It almost looks like I have the subtlest ombre lip with these because the inner part of my lower lip tends to not grab color for whatever reason. Usually lipsticks will even themselves out after 20 minutes or so and it won't be noticeable but these 2 refuse to. ;( I applied lip balm beforehand so I don't know if that might have something to do with the unevenness. *Shrugs.* Still happy to own both.
These are very pretty on you AdelieDragon! :)
