MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

I just got my Magnetic Nude goodies. I got FP, MA and 2x Close Contact. I've finally found a nude that doesn't wash me out! CC is a couple shades darker than Creme d'Nude and that one didn't look good on me because it was too light. Other 'nudes' I do like are more brown and I really wanted a true nude so I'm very happy and excited! I didn't look like Viva Glam Gaga 2 on me. I didn't take that with me but from memory it's more yellow and brown. CC had the right amount of pink in it to compliment my skin very well.
I hope Close Contact will be my perfect nude colour!
Could you please post a swatch from it?

I use it worn the 187 brush as a bronzer. I apply it on my cheeks/cheekbones (more towards the sides of my face and not so much on the apples), forehead and a tiny bit on my nose and chin.
I suppose that's the only way for us pale folk to wear it as it looks quite dark. Is it not too shimmery for a bronzer though? At least that's what I keep telling myself so that I can skip it

Ladies - fast question - Silver Dawn or It' Physical? What is worth more? Only one thing! ;)
Get Silver Dawn, I am happy I got it - I swatched it's Physical yesterday because I wasn't sure, it's veryyy glittery. I think as a liner it would be okay, but I don't know, as a whole base it seems too much? Idk that is just my opinion.

If you can only get one I'd say its physical because Patina is said to be somewhat similar to Silver Dawn and the fluidline is more unique imho. I think eyeshadow is easier to dupe.
Actually, Patina is quite a bit lighter, and more golden, whereas Silver Dawn is darker and greyer. I almost ended up with both yesterday but chose Silver Dawn and am happy with that decision :)

thanks! You used already so many SD?
I've been wearing SD everyday! I love those type of taupe colors. I was thinking of backing up...but realize I have too many to go through already. Patina is a nice neutral in which I need to start using more often as well. But I adore Silver Dawn :)

I also LOVE silver dawn. Both products are amazing in my opinion and lately I've been wearing a sheer wash of It's Physical on my lids (I have grey/blue eyes) and it totally makes them pop (probably because of the mauve/pink in it). The look is simply beautiful, and surprisingly, not too sparkly at all! A couple of coats of black mascara and a bit of black liner on the inner rim and I'm good to go!

I wore it's physical as base under blackheart shadow from my Naked3 palette and it was a stunning combo. Have yet to try its physical as a liner but I do like it because I had nothing similar in my collection.

I'll try to get a picture tomorrow in daylight :)

It's not as shimmery as other EDSFs and with a light hand I'll definitely not be too shimmery. It gives a pretty glow.

I'm not a fan of the Kim K. contouring most of the time. It often seems like too much contouring and highlighting is done and I thought contouring and highlighting shouldn't be noticable. I find it hard to tell what kind of face shape I have. Erine would you be able to tell me? So far the only contouring I do is the hollows of my cheeks and I do it lightly.
You look oval to me my dear!
I don't do much contouring or highlighting. I would like to try more highlighting -- erin any product suggestions for a Face and Body C1.  Maybe a CCB, I`ve never tried one of those.
Luna, pearl, hush, soft & gentle, lightscapade, carefree PLW shadow, shroom, dazzlelight, vanilla pigment, naked pigment...
Can I just say I love Erine!!!!!! Thank you for all your knowledge and helpful tips :)
Love you too!
Erine, do i have a round face? Thats my guess if i have to, when i contour, i usually do hollows of cheek and jawline, should i change that?
You're right inbetween round and oval, so what you're doing right now is perfect! Keep your jawline contour to your upper jawline right under your ear, don't take it too far down towards your chin. And you can do a little bit on your lower temples if you want.
Thanks so much Erin. I too have an oval face and was wondering the same thing!
Yuppers!

On my skin specifically Silver Dawn is more comparable to satin taupe instead of patina (NC 30). Silver Dawn is a less muddy, less cool and more neutral taupe than Satin Taupe which works awesome on my warm skin. I think it was T who called it a warm grey which is an accurate description. Patina is an absolute HG eyeshadow for me! I can live without every single eyeshadow I own but not Patina-that's how much I love it! It just melds with my skintone.

Do you recommend the Naked palettes? I havent gotten any of them and was wondering if they'll work on me.

My hand looks ashy as all get out, but that's just UDPP... which I never use BECAUSE it makes me look ashy.

Anyhoo, AA on the left, Cranberry on the right.
