They are matte.
They are matte.
Last week, I realized my beloved stone lipliner was missing. I believe it dropped out of my purse. I was officially sick the whole night. The next day I called mac customer service line and order two!!! I also had them shipped overnight. I never want to be without that color. The thought of it makes me weak.Everyone needs Stone! I couldn't live without it
Can I give multiple thumbs up this post? Mods?
When I first applied I thought they were very matte like the RMs as well. But they say matte, so I guess that's what they must be!Are they Matte or Retro Matte? Because I thought they were Retro Matte, but on the packaging it says they are Matte lipsticks. They feel like Retro Matte, but maybe a little more creamy (is it just me?), so I dunno.

Finally someone who understands my MAC love.
That would explain why they are less creamy than usual! They really feel like something between a Retro Matte and a Matte. When I first applied I thought they were very matte like the RMs as well. But they say matte, so I guess that's what they must be!
I'm not crazy then! lol

Or it could be that these in retro matte would be destined to be drier than other RM's due to the dark pigments?
My guess is that you're probably over applying a bit, based on what you're saying about them being so dark (as well as patchy). The color on these doesn't get super dark unless you're putting a lot on. I wouldn't use a lip brush except to touch up the edges - I find using a brush with these causes drags and patches, even if you're trying to be careful. Just do a light layer on the lower lip first. Don't worry if it's patchy. Then do the upper lip with a normal layer and a light hand, going deep into the underside of the lip. By the time you're done with that, the lower lip will be set up, so do another layer on top to smooth it all out well but don't worry if some spots seem a little uneven. What happens is in a minute or so, after it fuses with your skin from the heat of your body, it will automatically smooth out some more. Don't do the lip smoosh to blend with these and wait a good while before blotting too. Dark colors take longer to dry and set up on the lips just in general, although these are SO much better than most dark purple lipsticks.
What can I say? I'd do the same if I didn't have my 5 (or was it 6?) BUsLast week, I realized my beloved stone lipliner was missing. I believe it dropped out of my purse. That's a shame I wonder if the reason you don't like PC is that you find it too cool toned? If that's the case you can perhaps try pairing with something like Currant? I haven't tried the combo myself but I suspect Currant will help PC pull less blue. [/quote] I will try that lip liner thanks hopefully it will make it less grape . I need to find a lavender lipstick to mix it with that may help. You're too kind  Did you get anything from this collection? Hey the 10th isn't that far away! When were they shipped? Please let's keep the drama to a minimum. All the subliminal posts towards our members aren't necessary. I understand the things others do here or on social media can be offensive, annoying, whatever but some things are just to be expected. Don't get me wrong, I get a little bothered by it too but what can we really do about it? Everyone is grown and has their own way of thinking. But throwing shade at people subliminally or directly just does not help the situation at all. I'm just saying...

Drama is very much expected from a forum full of women. I've learned that over the years. Really is inevitable and I just watch with my popcorn from the sidelines. Besides, the resellers here sell mainly at $22 rather than $40-80 on ebay and IG. I think its quite reasonable.td: Please let's keep the drama to a minimum.
