I just remembered I have Lip Erase!  I used it once or twice when I first  bought it, but soon forgot about it. A quick question to those of you who own Lip Erase - do you use it over or under P&P lip? Or is it better off worn on its own? I would like to give Lip Erase another shot but I don't want to sacrifice my beloved P&P lip either.
What is lip erase and what is P &P

Hello everyone. I'm new here. Here's me wearing instigator. Also I may have found a dupe for instigator. It's maybeline midnight plum 1005. Only difference is midnight plum is not matte.

Top is instigator . Bottom is midnight plum.
Nice swatches welcome to specktra by the way

Lip erase is a product MAC offers that erases any natural color your lips might have. Some people use it to get colors to show more boldly or true to how they look in the tube. P&P is Prep & Prime, which is a product you use before lipstick to help it go on more smoothly and last longer. It's particularly helpful when wearing matte lipsticks because it provides a kind of barrier between your lips and the lipstick so it doesn't dry them out as much. (That doesn't mean you shouldn't still exfoliate/condition your lips though!)

So from this entire collection I ended up getting hautecore, instigator, and I have two punk couture's coming but are on back order. I really want that neon pink pigment though :(

It's perm so you can grab it any time. It's awesome packed on top of hot pink lips. It amps em up big time!

Mac also has "lip erase" that you can put on before your lipstick and it will help with your lipsticks not going on so dark! :) @SavannahLovely

Yup. It is very drying on me but Close Contact is the same color as Dim on me.
Dang, I got Sensual Sparks instead, but I guess I am gonna be *forced* to hunt down CC as well. At least I skipped Morning Rose, I figured I could dupe that, as I have about a MILLION pinks in every finish and nuance you can imagine. Are there dupes for CC? (I better ask in the MN threadz)

Sam yes, I have tried it too many times -- it does not work. Prep and prime is much better but it will not lighten the original colour of the lip for that use your foundation/concealer. Faster, easier -- less products less fuss

Oh okay, i'm not concerned with lightening my lips at all because I am already so fair skinned. I was just making suggestions to people who wanted to lighten their lip color before applying lipstick :)

Okay i'll take a look @ prep & prime

Ive never tried P&P, would you put balm on first and then let it sink in and then apply the P&P over it?
