MAC Huggable Lipcolour Collection (December 26, 2013)

I'm on a Low Buy this year.

But after all the deep dark and intensely colored Matte and Retro Matte lipsticks i got last year, as well as a week of a virus around Christmas, and a horrible cold this week, and the dry winter we've had here, i'm thinking a couple of these Huggables might be nice to just carry in my purse - moisturizing sounds great.

I'm leaning toward Touché (light beige), Fashion Force (cool coral) [sold out most places], and/or Out for Passion (soft warm rose). But I don't want to buy more than two. And Temptalia's swatches aren't helping a lot.

Any suggestions?

Out For Passion is just like its description. Its a very pretty soft warm rose pink - its pink on the more subtle nudish side of pink - not pink as in a brighter pink. There was a much older woman than myself that was hanging over my shoulder when I was swatching these

& she fell in love with & bought OFP. For some reason I cannot remember FF.

I was going to skip this collection entirely, until @liba said it makes lips look 20 years younger. Then @elegant-one chimed in with her raves. When that happens, it doesn't take long before... well,
mac_atemywallet.gif

Commotion - Gorgeous berry fuschia. I lined with Vino and carefully placed concealer on the outside edges of my lips... and it feathered badly! Going to try a clear lipliner with it.
What a Feeling - paired with Hip and Happy lipliner. Perfect baby pink. This is going to be my go-to everyday spring color!
Fresh and Frisky - paired with Have to Have It lipliner. Soft peach. Not very unique, but if you tend to wear strong eyes, this is a great way to keep your overall look fresh for spring.
Touche - Will line with Etcetera. I was afraid this would be too light and settle into lip lines, but it's a very pigmented warm nude on my lips.
Love Beam - Like @liba said, it's a gorgeous watermelon pink.

I love the glassy look of Huggable Lipcolors. I love the juicy look without having to reapply every 2 hours as with lip gloss. The lighter colors do wear off easily, but they wear off evenly over time. Although Temptalia said reapplication is tricky and that she had to wipe everything off and start over each time, I had no such issues with the lighter colors. They reapplied beautifully. Hope this helps!

EDIT: @lilinah - Fashion Force is next on my list, too! It looks like orange candy. I'm a little worried it's so bright, it might settle into my pigmented lips... but I'll let you know how it looks this weekend.

Commotion is gorgeous & I'll probably end up with it. I had some feathering with RN after awhile...but I love the feel & the shades so much that I don't even care. Someone - I think Mally - has a product called lip fence...I may try something like that with these. Nothing like having to corral your lipstick

So excited to read what you thought of LB & WAF...mine got delayed with UPS so they won't be here until Mon. & Tues. Excited to get them

Thanks for the info

I knew I would get Commotion without having to try it first, but I wanted to swatch Rusty and Rich Marron before I decided whether to buy them. Didn't care for Rusty, but Rich Marron is a great glossy nude for me so I'll be getting that very soon.

Ladies I lurve this formula. So far I hauled Fashion force, Rusty, Rich Matron, Cherry Glaze and Commotion. This will be good to alternate watering between these super lip dessicating mattes. Anyone try these as a primer before the matte?
OMGosh - I can SEE you! You beautiful lady

Uh, I agree - after the mattes, these are refreshing my dry lips as well as plumping them out ;)

Touche or Rich Marron, depending on whether you want a light nude or mid-tone nude.

Fresh & Frisky is even better than Fashion Force for subtle day to day colors - it's like Runway Hit, beautiful soft nude peach.

I love Out For Passion and those types of MLBB pinks don't always look good on me (usually look too jeune fille), it's a little bit bright, though. More of a spring color.

So, one of the nudes and either F&F if you prefer peach or OFP if you prefer pink - how does that sound? :D

I adore these!!! First purchased Fresh & Frisky and Feeling Amorous and i loved them so much i also purchased Love Beam and Out For Passion. Amazing. I truly wish these were permanent as i would def repurchase these as needed and in all the colors lol. I like sheen supremes but these are better imo

Aww shucks. I am a bit camera shy but finally delurked. Punk Couture with Orchidazzle on top.
And about time too!

OK, I had to google Orchidazzle. I wasn't a braindead MAC slave in the Strange Hybrid days, hence my lack of knowledge. Congratulations on my new lemming! It's sheer and all that but with a colour like that, who cares?

you will be amazed at the treasure i find in the Clearance bin. I was not into MAC during Strange Hybrid. I blame my obsession on the hello kitty collab.

Let me know what you think! :)
Okay, so I finally got around to trying the new Bite Beauty lip mask last night. I definitely love it! Whenever I tried using lip conditioners/balms that didn't have petrolatum in them, I felt like they never did as good a job of moisturizing my lips. They always felt too waxy and like they just sat on my lips instead of actually sinking in and hydrating them. I was initially afraid that was how I was going to feel about the lip mask once I started squeezing it out of the tube, because it was so thick and waxy looking. Even felt that way on my finger. But as soon as I smoothed it onto my lips, wow. It felt just as nice as (if not nicer than) the petrolatum-based lip conditioners I've tried, and it instantly made my lips look healthier! I'm sure people with severely dry lips would need to use it a few times before they really saw a difference, but I'm going to start using this baby morning and night. I really need to find out if it's going to be permanent to Bite's lineup or if it's for a limited time, because if it's limited, I'm stocking up!

Latest Huggable update: I have continued to resist getting more than 2 lippies from this collection. The only other one that draws my eye is Commotion, but I swatched it next to Rebel and Lush Life the other day (both of which I own) and they are so similar, I feel able to resist!
