MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

Here's a picture with Morning Rose on my lips. I didn't get it first, but after I went back to my local counter and tried it on my lips I had to have it. When I came back home I swatched it next to Gem of Roses because they seemed similar at first, but they are not the same. GOR is more yellowish or something and Morning Rose looks a lot better on me. I love the tiny shimmers in it so I went back to my local counter again and got a BU. Btw sorry for the tired look in my eyes.

Do you have Restrained from the Nudes & Metallics Collection? If so, you have a dupe for SS! I skipped both of these lippies for the same reason... I have a lot of nudes! And I secretly DON'T want to find my holy grail nude in a Limited Edition collection! If that helps anti-enable you at all....

No, I don't. I didn't buy any of the nudes from the Nudes & Metallics collection with the same thinking, "I don't need anymore nudes in my arsenal."

I couldn't agree with you more as I fear if I see a nude I really like (that's LE) more than my other permanent line nudes.

Just to name a few "nudes" I own: Siss, Yash, Peachstock, Ruffian Naked, Pure Decoration, Runway Hit, Kinda Sexy, Tea Ceremony, Bad Girl RiRi..

Oh dear, oh dear….. I think I may have found my ultimate HG everyday nude in Touché from the Huggables (at the very least, HG for this time of year when my skin is at its palest). I am "mostly" happy about this, because who doesn't want an HG nude?? I've got a BU and I'm pretty sure that will keep me covered, considering I DO have a ton of other lipsticks and could just force myself to wear a classy red or jazzy coral or rock 'n roll purple or whatever else, rather than grab Touché EVERY DARN DAY…..it's tempting though….I've worn it 3 days straight, and that is almost unheard of for me. If I had to run out of my burning house, I'd grab Touché and remember all my other makeup with fond memories. The good news is even if you find an HG that's LE, it's either going to get repromoted or a couple of years from now, MAC will come up with something new that will suddenly blow your old HG out of the water. Hell, I thought Restrict was my ultimate winter nude, but it's starting to look a little old school next to Touché and one day, a few years from now, there will be some Kissable Huggable Squeezable Lip Colour or whatever that will make Touché look like the lipstick equivalent of 70's blue eye shadow! :haha:   The good thing about finding an HG color in a limited edition is the chances are very high that you're not only getting a color that's perfectly calibrated to be in synch with all your newest clothing colors, but you're also getting the latest and greatest version of whatever finish it's in, or it's an entirely new formula that does new awesome things, like the Huggables….what's not to love? Fashion always moves forward, and this way, so will your perfect makeup looks! Even if it's perm, it's not like the perm colors don't occasionally get disco'ed, so there are no guarantees in life. Just follow your heart, even if it's LE, baby!  :cheers:

You make great points ... As always! It's just LE lippies sell so fast I feel I have to impulse buy nude shades just to try them out! Then over 80% of the time they don't work & now I'm stuck w it or feel bad returning a coveted lipstick... It's a vicious cycle. Because we all know the slightest variant can make a nude a winner or a big no no! So I sorta swore off LE nudes unless I could try them in person, which is hard for me to do w LE launches & my crazy traveling for work. I have lucked out w a few LE nudes that work for me. But still no Holy Grail status. And there are so many great perm nudes I still haven't even looked at. So I'm hoping I'll find it out there someday. I did briefly consider RM Huggable and now you're killing my resolve w how much you love T! Guess I should give it a try in store if I can get my butt there in time. Seems everyone discovered the love for the Huggables a little late & now they're flying off the shelves! Thanks for all the help!!

It's great medium nude/peach lipstick. I don't think this color gets enough attention it deserves. It's a great everyday color IMO. It's a smidge darker than Runway Hit.

I use the 187 too for MSF and EDSF when I use them as a bronzer.

I use the 188 (like 187 but smaller) for most blushes (included ED) and MSF, but i use the 128 for EDSF - the 128 works better with the EDSF for me.

I've been sick off and on since before Christmas and i just thought i'd forgotten to post my haul from this collection.

I was waiting outside the store when it opened on the 26th along with several other ladies, most of whom were there for Punk Couture - turns out all the PC lipsticks were stolen. Fortunately i'd preordered them.

Here's my Magnetic Appeal haul:

Lipsticks
• Carnal Instinct - deep brick red with gold pearlized pigments (cool coppery red)
What can i say, it was the same color as the burgundy shirt i was wearing.

Lipglass
• Steel Kiss - mid-tone mauve with green pearlized pigments - how could i resist?

Fluidlines
• Chilled - frosted white gold
• It's Physical - brown with purple pearlized pigments
• Our Secret - metallic brown with red pearlized pigments
Yeah, yeah, i got all three. I've been wearing the heck out of It's Physical. And i like Chilled as an accent.

E/D products
• Extra Dimension Eyeshadow - Silver Dawn - mid-tone grey mauve (really taupe with hints of mauve)
I was going to skip this, but i loved it after i tested it.
(i already have A Natural Flirt and Sweet Heat)

• Extra Dimension Skinfinish - Fairly Precious - peach with dimensional pearly sheen
(i already have Superb)
• Extra Dimension Blush - Autoerotique - mid-tone coral rose
Both are a tad warmer than i usually use, but they were sheer, so i figured i could use them. And i have. I love how ED stuff gives that glow without too much sheen.

they are more peachier than any of the nudes from Mac I feel like . mac has a lot of nudes with pink in them and these 2 from the collection are the perfect peach nudes and I'm literally obsessed with both !
