oh wow now i know i dont need to buy it. i think im going to skip this collection all together. i think im going to just get some blush elsewhere. Nothing else interested me in this collection

mmmm yeeeea thats why im not gettin anything more than the fluidlines cuz nothing else grabs me. i know folks are jonesing for perfect topping but i've seen it next to soft n gentle n didnt see too much of a difference that makes me want it. stereo rose i think if nothing else u should swatch it if u have a chance to get to the counter but i fell into the hype n got it last year n i haven't reached for it since then lol. if i've learned nothing else in this world of mac makeup...they will repromote eventually.

your right about that repromote with mac but what i learned is if im not sure of something i will not buy it if i cant get to the store because swatches and looks on other people never seem to work out for me. i might just get a Cremesheen Glass Playful Petal and thats it

That is the BEST way to do it. I've been burned buying before trying and I've got the sort of coloring that can wear just about anything, so what does that say?

What I've done, since I was thinking this collection may have a lot of colors that I've got dupes for already, is I took out all my pastel pink and lavender and coral springtime lipsticks and spent an evening trying them ALL on my lips - not just swatching. Now I've got a good sense of what I already own, plus I took a few that seem extra similar and stuck them in a makeup bag to bring along when I see the collection to compare directly.

After the past few years, I am definitely getting into the zone of having everything I could possibly need, especially for lipsticks. I still might buy a color I've got dupes for if the texture of the new product is superior to the ones I already own and I would feel OK about that - if it applies better and lasts better all day and is less drying, then of course I want to move on up. That's why I had zero problem buying a bunch of Huggable Lip Colors.
