Don't know if this helps, but I picked up Pure Pink from a CCO.
You have the same effect as I have then, pinks turning neon, lol.I have Bittersweet and yes, as others have said, it pulls quite brown. I don't really see any plum in it at all on me. I joke that my lips must have a lot of blue in them because anything pink goes HOT pink on me and very cool. So if this didn't skew at least a little bit plum, I don't know that there's much of that shade in it at all. Love your blog, by the way!
i don't own Jezebel (we don't have Marc Jacobs in Germany just yet) but from swatches online I can tell that Bordeaux Lust is more of a plum and darker. I swatched Bordeaux Lust some time ago (therefore photos are not that good, lol, I think I improved those a little meanwhile, but gives an idea), in case you would like to check out:The little voice in my head says, "Buy Bordeaux Lust.Buy Bordeaux Lust.Buy Bordeaux Lust." Kind people here said it was a dupe to Marc Jacobs Jezebel. How about comparing TF Bordeaux to Essie's Bordeaux? Has anyone compared the two? Thanks in advance!
I put it on again just now to be sure - a tiny hint of plum but definitely brown on me. It does not have the same level of sparkle as the others, though, just a soft gleam, and also seems to have more coverage. If you're like me you'll have to see it in person to get rid of the nagging "what if?" feeling! You have the same effect as I have then, pinks turning neon, lol.
For example I wore Guerlain Rouge G from holiday collection this year and SA said something like "well, I think this one is too strong for you" LOL, even she didn't want to sell it. It was like looking almost neon and everything else on my face got washed out...
I really wonder how Bittersweet would look on me. Things do turn berry or plum on me quiet a bit but it looks very brown in the tube as well as on the swatches. By the way just got Sweet Spot too, trying to catch the orange trend of this Spring/Summer. Wished I had the opportunity to try Bittersweet on before splurging so much money *sigh*. Maybe I should drive to Munich after these are released there... We will see...
By the way thanks so much for your kind comments and reading my blog
lol @ not too many..I hear you!.. I bought Paradiso and so far love it.. it has worn like a sheerer sister of my beloved Flamingo. They are too pricey tho! I too love Malicieuse and am waiting for AmoreuseThey are really nice. I feel like I don't want to wear any other lipsticks but these...and Chante lip chics and Chanel La Malicieuse.I would love TF to make these perm and come out with more shades. Not too many since they'e so pricey, but maybe a few fall/winter ones later on.
Bummer that Sugar Dune didn't work on you. I suspect I can't then. I was curious about Incorrigible but I will pass since I dislike grittyness. I also have dupes for Sweet Spot. On the bright side, I shall look forward to Incandescent and Paradiso! Good to know you like them!Miss QQ, I love Incandescent. It looks a lot nicer on me than Delight which was too gold for me, but Sugar Dune was very meh on my skin tone. I did also get Paradiso lip conditioner though and love it! Incorrigible was too gritty feeling on my lips (and also not a great shade for me).
It is worth it to me. It's really not sheer at all, quite pigmented in fact and fades to a nice stain. So uh Paradiso, I'm still coming back to that shade. Is it worth it? How sheer is it? I'm not huge into sheer lipsticks but that colour..
Lancome has great nail polishes as well, similar brush to YSL. And Illamasqua, I love their formula.I can definitely write a few words about Tom Ford nail polish formula since I own almost all of their nail polishes.
The quality is not consistent across this range, some may be streaky and difficult to apply. Some may turn out to be very good quality. But I haven't find any of them being close to my favourite nail polish formulas such as YSL, Burberry and Giorgio Armani, Armani being the best and backwards in this order, Burberry's formula is very close to Armani but unfortunately the brush is not that good. Overall I find Tom Ford's quality close to Chanel and Dior, if it is a good one and worse if it is a bad one.
I like Lancome's formula too but last year I stopped getting them because of two reasons, first one is that their blues and greens from summer was not released here, then the Christmas collection didn't arrive to Germany as well. Their new colors were very hard to keep track of, second, I find their formula close to Chanel and Dior but shades to be not that unique, so I stopped getting Lancome nps. I have to say I love their brush though, very flexible and easy to use. Oh and Illamasqua, true fan of their shades. Love :eyelove: I find their shades really very creative too, like they manage to do something original each time. Formula is also good, but I have to say it doesn't wear on me as long as Burberry and Armani does. Still long but not a week. On the other hand I anyway get bored of one shade on my fingertips so easily that it doesn't matter after two days if it survives or not because I anyway change it :haha:Lancome has great nail polishes as well, similar brush to YSL. And Illamasqua, I love their formula. I only own one TF nail polish and I find it alright. The price is definitely more about the brand then quality. But I love Coral Beach and Sugar Dune from spring collection, it's gonna be hard to resist.
