I love reds so even though the collection is such a let down color story wise, I'll pick up the lippie and the l/l. Plus I really want sculpt since its in the compact and it would be so much easier to carry around.

When I, the resident Disney fanatic and avid Disney collector, see absolutely jack squat I want to buy, there is a problem! What a boring mess of nothingness. And the packaging is hideous. I don't see anything I actually want. Not one thing! Way to go MAC. The lipstick and gloss look nice, but I do not need anything else red. I don't wear the reds I already own! The rest of this had better look better in person and in swatches, because I would really like to get at least one measly little item for collecting purposes. Certainly will not be buying all of this like I had planned! Good for my low-buy, I suppose. Still a major bummer however.

Yes! I spent a year going to Disneyland 5 days a week and I feel a whole lot of Oh No about this. The potential was vast. It didn't need to be extensive but at the risk of sounding trendy, it should have been well curated.

Nothing made me go wow. I might get the powder, and probably the lipstick. Everything else is basic. They could have really done so much with this collection. Everything seems lazy.

So sorry for veering off topic, but I just did a little research. There already is a Bite Beauty thread. Yippee! As far as the Maleficent Collection is concerned, MAC/Estee Lauder should be hanging their head in shame. At the rate they're going, they'll be selling in the low-end big-box stores. They are cheapening themselves with some shoddy collections lately. :jerkit:

I had a magical beautiful dream that MAC was screwing with us when they released these photos and the real collection had a beautiful profile image of Maleficent in black (think cameo pendant) with metallic packaging. Around Maleficent's profile image green streaks of her magic flow out to then combine together for a metallic green color.

My boyfriend had a panic attack in the dream because I bought everything and then I woke up to this crap still being here........

I love how even in dreams when you buy a ton of stuff your SO's aren't "Darling! You look rapturous in it all, spend to your heart's content!" instead its "How much freaking money did you spend?!?!". Guess some things don't change even in dreams.
