MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

If there's a Mermaid movie, i sure hope it's from the original Hans Christian Andersen story - which is such a bittersweet tragedy. I doubt it will involve all the Disneyfications: Ariel was not her name, if she even had one - it's a male name, and now it's ruined for boys - it means "Lion of God", nothin' to do with mermaids; there is no Ursula (i mean, the Disney Ursula is cool enough in purple and black, which are sort of my colors, but still...). No, the real story with all its pain would be much more interesting in a film for people with more grown-up sensibilities.

I agree! NOTHING could top Disney's animated "Little Mermaid" rendition... so why try making that story into a movie? HOWEVER, the original Hans Christian Anderson story would be perfect for the big screen! The true love and sadness in that story is so moving! Without the lively music and vibrant visual and animation, I feel the "Disney version" wouldn't translate as well. IMHO

I like ED stuff. Heck, Magnetic Nudes, cheez, i bought, like, 8 things from that collection, which is a lot for me - well my bigger splurges were 14 items from the Divine Nights October collection in 2013 and 14 from the Heavenly Creature summer mineralize collection in 2012 - but normally i have good self-control and just get a few things.

I do NOT need any more blushes - and Seduced at Sea doesn't tempt me - but i know i can be... reeled in by other colors...

I read on other sites it's suppose to be the darker sad version! I hope it's ED at least I'll feel it's worth the extra! I've been buying ED since the first release and I've been in love ever since then!

I didnt expect this to be ED at all.

i really dont understand how mac expects some of us to be ok with the little pots of only 1,3g instead of the 2g ones. worst of all for the same PRICE!
i regret not getting more of the big ones in the first launch. i only got one. i had no idea mac was going to F* me over with the little pots.
im going to probably get only 1-2 shadows now.

I like the look of the blush. so i think im going to get my 1st ED blush.

I am beyond excited for Alluring Aquatic Collection!!! ED stuff are amazing!! I will be saving up for this collection after I haul from Playland and Proenza Schouler!

Now I need some colours I can wear because blue and turquoise and all those sorts of colours are not exactly what I can and want to pull off.

Looking at Magnetic Nude (the last Extra Dimension collection) prices, the EDBlushes = $25, EDES = $19.50 and those were in regular packaging.When Archie's girls came out the lipsticks (in special packaging) were $16.50 which is $1.50 price increase from regular $15 (the prevailing price back then) same as Temperature Rising lipsticks. Since Alluring Aquatic is special packaging too (albeit no trademark characters), I really want to know how much price hike up we can expect, given MAC lipsticks now are $16.00. I'm hoping it won't be as high as $1.50 like in Archie's Girls but I am expecting around that range. Ofcourse we won't know until the official list comes out. My wallet is bracing itself...
