Even if i do my eye makeup, if i don't do my brows - which are thin and have few hairs in them - my eyes are less noticeable.
When i was getting back into makeup a few years ago, i picked up Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in
Brunette ("medium light bronze"), but the spoolie is HUGE and i don't have enough brow hairs for the gel to work. Maybe i should see if my fine pointed eye liner brush (see below) works better...
Most of the time i just use
Omega ("soft muted beige-taupe") eyeshadow. My hair is mostly dark brown, but dark brows just look silly on me, overpower my eyes, and take focus away from my eyes and lips. Frankly, i look like an evil Joan Crawford
. I use a really cheap e.l.f. angled liner brush and it works fine - and that's the only thing i use that brush for.
Last year I got a Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in
Dirty Blonde ("soft taupe brown"), which i
love - i use a very fine pointed eye liner brush to put it on and that gives me great control. I also got a Veluxe Brow Liner pencil in
Strawberry Blonde ("soft muted beige-taupe") because it's more portable than the gel. But it's a completely different color from
Omega, despite MAC's description, and sometimes it's OK but other times it's a bit too dark or strong or something. I've also noticed that the "lead" keeps crumbling if i try to get a fine point, which is annoying, 'cuz i
need a fine point.
However, whatever i use, my brows tend to wear off during the day, so maybe the new waterproof brow products - if they come in a light enough color - will stay on longer.
