Vivacite available now here in the US is the 4g Euro baked formula. Doesn't look like it will come in the US powder formulation, and I'm starting to think that formula may be discontinued for new JCs. I guess time will tell.

Thanks for the information :) I will be buying Emotion next from Nordies, and am curious about the differences and looking forward to comparing!

Have you seen Rose Ecrin? It's a nice soft muted pink colour with a hint of peach on me - Rose Initiale is a big step if you aren't used to pinks. I have almost finished Rose Ecrin- it goes with so many lipsticks (coral/oranges, pinks, reds). I wore it almost daily for a while, then somehow forgot about it lol.

So happy for you- it will make your day!

It's just so gorgeous, it will be breathtaking when you set eyes upon it

.

Ultra Rose has become a favourite already.
Medgal, are your Vivacite and Canaille blushes made in USA or France?

The ones I got are made in France.
I have read online the the made in USA ones are more pigmented- in this case it can't be possible
girlhaha.gif
I just checked---mine are made in France too.
iagree.gif
There's no way that those made in the USA are more pigmented. If these blushes were any more

pigmented they wouldn't be blush---they'd be oil paint.

Besides which, you can't believe everything you read on the internet!

I have Emotion----It's been at Nordstrom for months now. Running to check specs-

My Emotion is also made in France.
Out of curiosity I checked Fleur De Lotus which I picked up some time ago when I saw that it was on Chanel's chopping block----that too is
made in France. Well then my curiosity got the best of me, so I checked others. My Accent, Sakura and Plum Attraction & Frivole are also made in France.

Hello Here in France Dior and Chanel makeup products are manufactured either in France or in Italy. Some JC blushes are less baked ( or look less ) than others. For example Frivole, Rose Initiale I think it is due to pigments but not quite sure about that.

Let me guess---it's another # 87

Seriously though, when I saw the photo I immediately thought of Sakura. So, I googled Compliment & Sakura came up:shock:

Wow I love detective 's stories but not signed chanel!

I so agree with you but this is becoming a huge mystery. When I purchased Emotion some time ago at Nordstrom, they didn't even have it listed by name---it was
just 87

. When I subsequently
purchased Sakura, it too was # 87.

there Dominique. Thanks for that insight. So are blushes that are made in Italy distinguished as such?

Blush Horizon and Poudre Signée both manufactured in Italy and Accent in France Off topic the new Hydra Beauty lip balm is really very good , in my expérience it is pricey but worth buying. I tried many balms ( Liérac, Kiko, Dior, Sarah Happ, Yves Rocher etc...) the Chanel one is better.

Thanks Dominique! Do you have a preference or notice any difference between blush made in Italy versus France. Oh and thanks for enabling, I mean giving me
another great product to try

LOL I didńt do it on purpose. I see no notice able difference, I love the Horizon and my JC I think JC blushes are all manufactured in France but I will Check it out. The quads are also manufactured in Italy, it is the same with Dior but Dior quints are either very good or chalky, the texture can be so difficult to work with. I think makeup is often manufactured in Italy, curiously enough the Guerlain Bubble blushes are manufactured in Japan !

I tried the cream too, it is for dry skin so I prefer Hydra Beauty for my combination skin. I am much disappointed by Sarah Happ balm my lips are fragile though. I don ´t think the Chanel one is perfection but it´ s effective .

Thanks Dominique. Interestingly, all makeup brands, be they high end or not seem to have some inconsistencies in their products.
I love makeup forums because the individuals who frequent them help us to sort it all out.

I'm currently using Sara Happ lip scrub & lip slip (balm) & they've proven quite effective for me. Perhaps when I finish w/the balm I'll try the Chanel one.
