Yay so glad about PP! Now I can get it anytime. Thanks Erine :)
It seems all pro lipsticks will be sold at MSOs and Nordies. Not only will Cheeky Bronze and Global Glow be perm, but so will Petal Power blush along with 2 additional MBs. Hence why there's no mineral collection this season.

I'm wondering what the two MBs will look like! I'm hoping they're not too shimmery.

Any word if MAC is reformulating the MSFN or just repackaging? I don't mind a re-formulation if it means a better product.

i do have to say i am rather annoyed with MAC stores getting pro colors!!! since that is the case there needs to be all new pro stuff launch and really set PRO STORE apart for those who work for a PRO location i know they are probably feeling the same way.

I don't mind them either. I have that issue with a lot of mac products. (clear insert popping out)

BB's are still up on Nordies, I think. I didn't really play with these. Did ppl love/hate them?
If you mean P&P Beauty Balms, I'm assuming Erine is saying "repromoted" because they are perm I think? Still online at mac, and in my local store too. Yes, I actually like these. They are surprisingly build able and last well on me. A touch of SPF too, which is nice. I think this looks more natural than Studio Sculpt foundation too.

I agree. I just told my friend that last night. They need to come out with all new pro colours, otherwise, what's the point of a pro store?

Seriously! The Pro division is going down the drain. My guess is that a few years down the road, there won't be much left of MAC Pro. In recent years, MAC has become much more commercial, thus providing easy access to Pro items just means added income.

The same goes for the Pro membership... but that's probably a topic that should be discussed in a different thread.

On the other hand, MAC still maintains a very high profile on the runways. It could be in their interest to eventually do a "relaunch" of Pro, with revitalized products and shades, as a way of maintaining visibility, but it would have to involve some serious rethinking of the price point as well as the products. Also, MAC is going to have to prioritize getting some extra stability in their LE business, what with all the rampant Ebay reselling and customer returns.

I could see it happening, but it would take a definite mandate from the top and some big changes on the non-pro end. MAC corporate's been a little slow, to put it charitably, but it still seems like there's a method to the madness that will shake out in the end. 'Gonna need a little better economic climate to run a professional "artistry only" segment of the business, as the bottom line, but if we get there, it's very good publicity, at the least.

This is straight marketing logic, not kindness towards makeup professionals, though.

Also, there will be a mirror in the MSFN compact now. That'll be convenient for a lot of people.
