I have to admit that I double-BU all my LE brushes. But I'd like a wider variety. And please no 129SH. It's Carbon, just in form of a brush. :)
Man I'm jealous! I wish I had BU'd it up! I just didn't realize how much I loved it until it was long gone. And that SE Archies version wasn't even worth bothering with!!
LOL @ Carbon reference!! (I'm guessing you meant 129SE?)

Yikes. Those colors would not work well on me! Brown tones on my lips are a no go. Hopefully the nude and/or purple lippy is better, cause I want a lippy in that packaging!

I don't know why but I really like the looks of Pet Me, Please. Dammit!! I wanted to keep it to one thing from this collection lol!

The glosses are also to die for. I am picking up clear water. It looks very beige in the promo pics, but on the lips its pink. It's just a gloss you can throw on, which is the kind I love. So people who are thinking the colors are more brown, try it in person. They are actually a little more pink. Some of the shadows have a slight glitter to them. They are almost a more advanced take on shadows like black tied & beauty marked (not so dry feeling). Also the extra dimension skinfinishes are very wearable to the lighter shades. I'm a NW20 and can wear whisper of gilt, which are similar to the new ones.

I kinda like mystical. It's like a burnt orange looking thing ... Maybe just trying to hard to like something so I have that packaging on my stash lol
Don't do it.

Ty. That was a quick slap I needed.

I assume that your comment refers to me - please correct me if I am wrong, I want to address this directly as I do take offense. One of the most frequently asked questions on Specktra is indeed "Will product x work on my skin [insert NC/NW in here]?," thus it is normal that people, including myself, give their opinion and share their expertise. I never say that x should not wear y. I use phrases such as "not suitable for..." "works best on..." I also strongly believe in testing the product in person, which is statement that will probably turn up in every thread here on Sprecktra. Having said that, I wholeheartedly agree with you that nobody should discouraged to try out a product. For those who can't swatch in person, I try to give my best recommendations and I'm proud to say that these worked out for a lot of gals on here. Anyway, no harm done. I just needed to address your comment, but we both probably agree that we do not want to take this matter further, so hopefully we can close this chapter. No hard feelings. I'm sorry, but the way you phrased this is causing a bit of :eek:td: !* We do have entire threads on Specktra that are dedicated to find the best colors for different skin tones. This is wonderful as it allows us to share our experience with others. Of course, everybody is entitled to have their own opinion and buy whatever the want. If you want to buy the whole collection and you have the funds, go for it. No, MAC doesn't hate NW folks, but there is a much smaller pool of cool-toned collections than warm-toned. Just browse through the promo pics. Other pale NW folks can probably attest that MAC puts out much more warmer collections than cool-toned ones. @MACina , @elegant-one and other cool beauties can certainly relate. This doesn't mean a cool-toned person can wear warm-toned make up - it's just takes a bit more work. I've said enough on this topic. Resorting back to posting less as discussions are these are tiresome. * I do take your comment very personal as my inbox is full of PMs (from the past years) from you asking for advice (which I provided) what will work on pale NWs and what you should buy. I'm not talking about just one or two messages, but dozens. You are throwing me under the bus here which is not cool at all. No need to take this any further as it is getting obnoxious.
Preach!!! I think it was directed at me as well, for our comment about shimmery bronzers, as her initial comment specifically mentioned her use of EDSFs as bronzers. People can do whatever they want with their makeup, i don't care. But when they ask me if it'll work for them or if they can use it a certain way, I'm gonna do everything i can to keep them from making a makeup mistake. It's my job. So if people wanna use EDSFs as bronzers, shine on!

She is also known as Lady of Cythera and Lady of Cyprus after the two island sites that claim to be her birth place and which had temples to her.

While I appreciate everyone's differing of opinions, I have to admit Erine and Mac-Guy have always been super helpful to me and never steered me wrong and for that, I am grateful. Thank you both.

, please? All of this is slightly disruptive.

I'm really disappointed I don't want more from this collection. The packaging is so gorgeous.. and I'm never a packaging whore, but this time I just want things for them being so beautiful, but not one thing has screamed "BUY ME" except for the packaging. :|

Maybe if I'm lucky, one of the bronzers will be suuuuper good for my skin tone and I can justify trying it as I don't own a bronzer as I'm terrified of looking muddy/orange and then I can get the compact without guilt !

Ah, thank you @lilinah and @Odelia! I clearly need to take my Greek mythology book off the shelf and give myself a refresher course because I had totally forgotten that. @Mac-Guy and I need to hit the books, lol. Glad I wasn't the only one wondering about that though!

Overall a little underwhelmed by this collection. Love the packaging, but not convinced I need any of these products. I might get the lighter EDSF if it's close to WOG, but I have a feeling it will end up being much darker if they're calling it a bronzer. Damn shame, that is. Oh well...I still have one WOG b/u left, so thank goodness for that!
