Hey girl! We're in makeup matters together!it was definitely NO DISS to lovely swatches of whether folks post em on their arms, knees or foreheads lol. im just more of a visual person for MEEEEEEE!!! anyhoo... so i got around to usin Geniah for a quick look and its everything i expected it to be!! its honestly like mac richly honed in powder form and im all for dramatic kontours **snaps** its pigmented as most of their blushes are so i buffed it out to tone it down with the "highlighter" part n used it around my forehead cuz the darkest shade to contour the WHOLE face would be ummm RuPaul-ish 4 real. it easy to go overboard with the darker shade (which i found out the hardway) so PLEASE go light n just build it as needed. In my opinion the "highlighter" shade looks like Paloma (from the ever so lovely swatches i've been seeing) so its like a 2 in 1. i'd be BOOM BAM POW if i paired this shyt wit richly honed but thats for a moooore dramatic girls day out night lol
Heeeeey Glam! i try to keep up with MM's lawd knows i do lol.Hey girl! We're in makeup matters together!
Oh my goodness Kiki, this looks stunning on you. I've been going back and forth over Gienah and these pics have almost sold me. How does the darker half compare to Mac blunt? Thanks in advance.
Looks awesome on you Kiki! I tried Geniah too and liked it but most of my contour powders are in that color but I wanted something I wouldn't need to buff out as much for daytime/work. I agree that the highlight shade on Geniah looks like Paloma, so if you don't have any dark contour powders this is definitely a good value.it was definitely NO DISS to lovely swatches of whether folks post em on their arms, knees or foreheads lol. im just more of a visual person for MEEEEEEE!!! anyhoo... so i got around to usin Geniah for a quick look and its everything i expected it to be!! its honestly like mac richly honed in powder form and im all for dramatic kontours **snaps** its pigmented as most of their blushes are so i buffed it out to tone it down with the "highlighter" part n used it around my forehead cuz the darkest shade to contour the WHOLE face would be ummm RuPaul-ish 4 real. it easy to go overboard with the darker shade (which i found out the hardway) so PLEASE go light n just build it as needed. its more intense than BLUNT!! JaeisFancy said it perfectly...u need to buff it out. wit blunt its more forgiving. Even when i use mac richly honed cream i can easily buff it out (why mac whyyyyy did u not make this perm **cue dramatic piano**) Geniah isnt for the faint of hearts and u definitely need to start off light n build up!! i took that shyt for granted n swipe it across my cheekLooks awesome on you Kiki! Thanks @HolstromI think it was nice of her to take the time to post the swatches, regardless of where she swatched them. =)
Hi there! Thanks for reading through my review. I completely understand everyone has a different skin tone (I'm on the pale olive side) and these will look different on everyone. I would've looked really Jersey Shore if I had attempted to use Gienah on my face :biguns: so I didnt even try it lol. What I think everyone should know about these though is they run light! The lighest shade was too light for me and I'm pretty pale! So like Kiki says, they photograph very dark but really look differently in person! There is a marked difference in the darkness from Paloma to Gienah though. Olympia and Paloma are still very simliar in shades but the jump in darkness from Paloma to Gienah is significant. Because of the nice texture and heavy pigmentation its easy to be too heavy handed so I completely agree with Kiki again when she said to build them up as needed. Gienah looked great on you @Kiki Kontour!I agree, I honestly don't think anyone was dissing her. Just the way the comments fell. I also took the time to read her review. Very helpful. But I honestly need to see these in person. Even Kiki's pics didn't help me. I am lost with contouring. I need someone to say, "here you need this one". Monika by your swatches, I think I could go with all three... I'm gonna be broke. LOL yes you should...
LOL!! You are HILARIOUS! I ordered Gienah from Nordies..they're having one of their random 10% off Nars sales so I'm feeling really good about it. Thanks again!its more intense than BLUNT!! I want this so bad! I'm starting to think HQhair will never get it. They don't even have the matte Multiples yet. Maybe it's all exclusive to the Nars EU site over here, but I don't want to order there, it's so pricey :/I just picked up Olympia and it is perfect for light definition. I'm sure you can make it darker, but I lightly applied and then added a light blush on the cheeks. Perfect. Olympia is perfect for my NW 13 skin.
That sucks! I hate even the idea of contouring, but these powders looked so nice and not like dark brown stripes. It just gives this bit of definition and warmth. I believe you can build it heavier. Or if I choose a darker color. I hope that makes sense. I hope all these products make their way to you. What's terrible is the shipping from the us to another country is so outrageous, it makes it hard to buy for someone and then ship to them.I want this so bad!
