All very good to know MissTania----I need all the help I can get
I worked at a department store during my studies in general cosmetics/fragrance, and due to the short staffing and my love of learning about all things Cosmetics- (make-up, skincare, fragrance) I hopped from counter to counter testing and studying products. I started using Lancome's skincare in about 2005 and have used it regularly since.
The Lancome make-up range is abit different here but we have alot of the staples the US has, but before my eye sensitivity issues, I used their eyeliners (the crayon waterproof ones were the best around IMO), the eye khol, and their mascaras (Hypnose and Hypnose Drama). I was not interested in their eyeshadows, the Dior 5 colours won my heart. I still use their eyebrow pencil (discontinued version but I have one left).
I love the juicy tubes range- we have different shades here and they're great on top of lipsticks like MAC mattes. I also love their lipliners, once again we have a different range but it feels the same as the US Le Lipstiques which I have- they stay in all day and do not feather. I only have a few of their lipsticks as the shades mostly don't interest me but they have some nice ones.
I also loved the old formula of teinte idole ultra foundation- amazing coverage - I may need to go back eventually and try it again.
One thing Lancome has not done is keep up with colour stories these days and they cannot compete with the Dior and Chanel collections and I wish they would.
Skincare wise- I still use their mousse cleanser, white clay mask, hydrazen eye cream, Bienfait SPF 30 moisturiser lotion and Bienfait Aqua Vital. I used bi-facil, their cleansing milk and a toner for make up removal in the past and then changed to the cleansing water.
I suppose I am still a Lancome lover! Colour wise, Dior, Chanel and MAC are my faves.
I also sneak in a few things from Estee Lauder and Clarins!
