I wanted one of the Spring Lip Sheers, Paradiso. Does anyone here own it?

I've been using my Solar Gold Shimmer Stick alone or over lip colors. Cover girl makes a version that works just as well... if not better.

Moonlight is 'much' more opaque and drier in texture. Reminds me of a version that YSL did some time ago. Works the same... brings up lip color or adds a 'cool' overtone to warm colored lippies. Solar gold is really greasy. I would not recommend it for the face at all.

Paradiso is gorgeous. I have it.



It's a very pinky coral... more on the pink side. And not so sheer.

Wow! That is so pretty on you. So yes, I going to have to buy it. Okay then, that's that. And then I am done with Tom Ford until the next collection. Thank you for your review of the highlighter sticks. Massive fail on that one. Or just a meh. He should've brought back the illuminating cheek colors from last summer.

Hi Watt, thanks so much for taking the time to give me such a thorough run-down of Fire Lust, I really appreciate it! You've completely sold me on it, too - I'm definitely going to head over to the Tom Ford counter when I'm in town in Sunday and put my name down for it. Looking at swatches online is helpful to a point, but I haven't come across a blog/swatch source with swatches on a very pale, cool complexion, so it can still be really difficult to judge how products will end up looking on me. Hearing from someone who is also fair and cool toned is incredibly helpful - thanks again for taking the time to help me out.

I picked up my order of Fire Lust today. It's shows up pretty glittery on my skin. I love glitter on the eyes, but not on my face, so I don't know if I'm going to keep them.

I picked up my order of Fire Lust today.  It's shows up pretty glittery on my skin.  I love glitter on the eyes, but not on my face, so I don't know if I'm going to keep them.  

I definitely do not see Glentor when I use it. Gleam? Yes. You just really just the tiniest bit and just blend it. Play with it and see if it works for you. If not, send it back. I am tempted to buy a back up. I just wonder if he will bring it back next year.

Both of the Lip Shimmers were, more or less, a fail for me too. I was told that they could be used as highlighters as well, and that's what sold me on them. Well, Solar Gold works better on the lips, while Moonlight works better on the face. Not that either does a spectacularly good job on the face or the lips. Solar Gold just adds golden glitter/shimmer and Moonlight makes the lips look really quite pale and frosty. On the face, I noticed exactly what you did. They made the skin feel slightly waxy and tacky, unless they were rubbed in all the way, and if you do that, then virtually nothing is left. Moonlight does leave a really beautiful gleam, but Solar Gold just imparts gold glitter that seems to migrate everywhere. I reviewed them if you want to read my whole review. I have to say, these are the first TF products that really disappointed me.

I had to order them since our Nordstrom does not carry Tom Ford in the store. They did have a very small summer collection as you noted in your review on your blog. I am happy with the palette and the Fire Lust. I look for it now to his fall collection. I anticipate highly the new blushes.

I'm seriously tempted to email Tom Ford (through the site) and beg for the pink blush from Unabashed to be released as a single blush.

I'm with you on that. I love that blush. I am looking forward to the new blushes that he will be releasing this fall/winter. I wish you would make Fire Lust permanent too.

Summer fling is love a lil pinker on me but I love it everything turns pink on me lips lol side note I also got Casablanca saw it many times at my cco store pass it up many times this is one of the pretties lipsticks ever seriously many bloggers say its a boring color no ma its sexy Hott I'm loving it

I too am disappointed with the summer collection . I did order Fire Lust Illuminator because I missed it last time around. It's the only item worth purchasing in the collection IMO.

Fire Lust totally is! I didn't expect to fall as madly in love with it as I did, but lo and behold it has reached HG status for me. Since purchasing Fire Lust all of my other highlighters/illuminators have been collecting dust in my makeup bag. There's a large part of me that even wonders if I should purchase a third in case he doesn't re-release it again next year. GAH, Tom Ford what have you done to me and my wallet!
