So I did my nails in Bloom last night. The consistency was kind of thick, the brush seemed thicker too. It was a bit messy to apply

The shade is very pretty on.

Dior's nail polishes can be great, but their constant reformulations and different textures/brushes are kind of annoying - I like that Chanel have "nailed" their formula and I always know what I'm getting. It won't stop me from buying Dior altogether, but I did notice the new gel formulas had a tendency to peel on my nails and I won't be getting any more unless there is a spectacular colour. I have plenty to get through in the pre-gel formula, so I don't mind. Bloom looked gorgeous, but I restrained myself as I have so many Dior pinks but it was not easy

So funny, ladies. Reading the thread with the images removed now is even more hilarious. What are you all talking about? A whole compact for the décolleté! Lmao. Sister from another mister! Such antics and jolly unruly entertainment. I gave up attempting to participate when I was hit left, right and center with some nightmarish horrific images.

OMG and you ladies didn't post the hairy one ( found on the Internet, I foucused on this one for some reason ! ), even the Dior golden powder would have not worked on the hairy décoletté I fear !!!

Sometimes nothing will do but a razor and/or some Nair

OMG---now I'm afraid to try mine---and that's the old formula too. I put on Dior Galaxie (Berry/plum) last night and wasn't put off by the thickness (
eeksign.gif
) because I think

I've grown accustomed to it. I didn't find it overly thick or hard to work with at all. Now I want to compare the consistency to some of my other NPs.
I did notice that Galaxie was opaque w/one coat, but I always prefer 2.

EO convinced me to get Rosy Glow and I'm so glad she did--- I LOVE it. But geez it's just so easy for these oldies but goodies to get lost in the fray because we have
sooo many from which to choose.

A friend recently asked me which Dior blushes would I select for her and Happy Cherry was the one that I selected. She's be lad to know it was a good pick. I decided
to start w/Coral Cruise because I'm on some weird coral/orange kick at the moment. Guerlain's Terracotta Sun Shimmer’ Highlighting Blush Spicy Coral that I so don't
need arrived today.

I had hopes that the new Dior gel formula would last for at least 3 days but that wasn't the case. I wore Front Row and it chipped badly after a day. I must say, the one
polish that lasted on me or 4 days was Tom Ford's Vapor. I think I must have every brand represented in my collection and I get an average of 2 days out of them---
from Chanel to Essie---2 days then bust.

Many complain about the thickness, I don't think the Dior formula is that thick, in fact I never paid attention to it. My old ones ( such as Diablotine^^ ) are really good ( Galaxie as well ), I have a gel np " Pandore " which is different, it applies like water on the nails. Dior formulas are really awesome, I think. But I would say exactly the same for other brands, like Essie or OPI. Dior np apply and dry quickly, and pigments are beautiful I am thinking of Porcelaine, and pastels are very often a mess to apply ! Porcelaine is truly perfect. As for bright shades Dior has beauties such as Diablotine, gorgeous in every way, 999, and many others ( Galaxie, Destin

) !

I haven't tested staying power on my new Dior np, I'll pay attention to it. I normally apply base coat and top coat and have at least 3 days of wear with it. Illamasqua np lasts the longest on me. With Chanel it depends on the shade, Black Pearl is the worst it chips after only few hours. I also find their formula inconsistent, June for example is a nightmare to apply, it's uneven, it bubbles, needs 3 coats... But I still love it, it's a gorgeous shade.

Chanel np are gorgeous but sometimes as you said a night mare to apply ( the Dior ones apply very easily ) June is a lovely shade, :) as for Illamasqua I think they wear very long indeed, I never tried the brand but Throb looks beautiful and I would like to try the lipsticks, the blushes and the np. !

^ Throb is my favourite np, it's the only shade I know I will alway have in my collection. I'm a big fan of their blushes as well, I just wish they have a few more shades (plum, neutral, nude all missing from the range). Lipsticks vary in texture, some can be quite dry (but not drying). Box and Salacious are MH. :)

I really do think I never noticed it. I'm laughing at my self for that one. You named shades that I have and love, including Diablotine. I tend to buy the entire NP collection
when they launch. I didn't do that with the gels because I wanted to test the formula first. I think my favorite Dior NP in terms of color has to be Nymphea # 307 topped w/
Crystal # 205, the shimmering white top coat. Love, love, love it. At one point I was using Crystal like it was a condiment---I was putting it over every NP that I wore.

Now I'm convinced that I'm partly to blame for the excessive chipping that I'm currently experiencing. Last night I put on Galaxie #992---that's less than 24 hours every
nail on my left hand is chipped. The right hand looks as if I just polished it. I'm currently using my left hand, almost exclusively, so this is not the time for me to be testing
wearability & endurance.

I don't blame you LivN---Throb is one of the prettiest blood red NPs ever! I've not yet ventured into anything else in the brand.

Lol...enjoy your coral/orange kick - I can dabble in those shades but they are in the minority! But they are very pretty when you find the right ones! I would safely recommend Happy Cherry too - I think it would be a universal shade.
The Dior gel ones chip on me and peel - but I do wash my hair every night and run the conditioner through it with my fingers, and dish washing doesn't help. Even so, 2 days is about the maximum they last on me before looking all messed up. I have actually worn lighter shades lately like Chanel Rose Moire and Peche Nacree as I cannot stand the sight of the chipping which is emphasised with the darker shades. I just don't feel right when I go out with noticeable chipped polish, it looks butchered! I might switch up a brighter shade for the weekend considering 2 days is the expectancy. I quite like OPI and Revlon though, they chip less than Chanel and Dior on me. However, when using the shades for a pedi- much better results across the board!

Med, could it be that it's not the np but that you're a bit more clumsy with your non-dominant left hand that you've to use right know? Maybe the np is chipping because you put more of a strain on your fingers and nails? I know that I've had times when I constantly bumped my nails against something, dragged them over rough surfaces etc because I can be Miss Clumsy from time to time. Of course the polish chips faster then.

I haven't tried mine yet, but found these swatches of the Transat Golden shimmer on pale skin from this blogger:

Lol I can be Miss Clumsy well all the time :))) honestly the new Dior formula is so good, no chipping for me but if I often do my toes, I don ´t do manicures every week. In my expérience both on nails and toes the Dior np was long wearing:)
