Yes it is a very different shade that companies just don't do often. It is most def in need of BU's lol I wish Melt would make a lavender lipstick. Darling l/s hasn't got enough purple for me.

I love melt cosmetics!!!!! Such a great company. They are right up my alley with all the matte lipsticks! But this color is to die for!

Well that's true. I know a lot of people have complained about the pigmentation and blendability of shadowy lady before, though, but I don't have those issues with it. I will say that carbon is a subpar black, though.

I actually like carbon. I'm a fan of black shadows. You can actually do a lot with them.

I basically always skip quads. I would have to adore every shade before I would get it and that rarely happens

Carbon isn't bad. Trust me, I've used worse. I really like Sugarpill's black, and NYX's.

They are SO great. I don't have a lot from them, but bulletproof (the black) and love+ (the red) are great. I needed to get the red because I found that I wanted a red SO many times, but literally no company sold just a flat out red. Sugarpill rocks because they make colors no one else has.
