this is why I say I am worried about MAC..
Me too.... I've been slowly switching some things. Mac is my love but I cheat on certain things like brushes I stopped getting Mac a while ago.. And as I learn about other things and learn about makeup and skin care I start looking into different things. I think I'm a Mac lover at heart but Mac makes it so difficult sometimes.

There is a difference in MAC SE brushes (like this one and the mini sets). Some are better than others, but they never compare to the ones that are not listed with an SE designation. The SE brushed are machine made and not good quality. I have had them go to heck in months because I do use them in my car and purse but again I have had the regular MAC brushes over a decade and they are still great.
Yes. Usually the regular brushes are better, but I can't say that ALL SE brushes suck. I've used some pretty decent ones. I probably have a differing opinion. I've never used a brush like this one, so I can't say anything about this one in particular. I'm not buying it because brushes like this are crazy expensive.

MACs weakness right now are the mineralized products. They are sub par.

MAC brushes.. some are good some not. depends where made.. but for the prices, there are many more selections.

skincare.. some good products, but again there are other brands with better and even less expensive treatments.

lipsticks.. still kicking.

the perm line is generally quite good.. although UD is kicking ass with it's ES.

I think we are referring to price versus quality for the brushes.

and no, a Chanel kabuki brush cost me $ 60 last year.. gorgeous packaging and ultra soft bristles. No smell cause it's fibre.

The more I try fibre brushes the more I love them.

I don't like mineralize products at all. Hate the lipsticks and glosses. I do love the mineralize skinfinsh in light plus though

Oh goodness yes! UD rocks the ES world. I love a MAC lipstick but Chanel is my fav but the colors can't touch what MAC does when they do it right. I agree about the brushes too. A lot of people miss the perm items that are excellent from MAC. I have heard that sales on those items are not not what they should be. I have went in to get things like Fling or a perm lippy and have been told no one asks for those things. WTH?

yep people love what's the latest thing on you tube.. lol

MAC;s lippies don't compare to the Chanel quality.. when Chanel does a matte lip, it's matte -- non drying and elegantly packaged. Not comparable.

It's quite good yes lol. It's the only brush I like by them. Their other ones are suckyyyyyyyyyyh
not true

I love the little tiny stipple brush and the big blender brush.. cheap and effective. If I lose one, it's not going to send me into spasms

Chanel is perfect. One of my favorite lines. Hopefully transferring to that company soon.

The only other ones I tried by them were the flat top foundation brush, bronzing brush, and the small concealer brush

To the average consumer, the SE brushes look ok on first glance. They sell because of that and the RiRi one because it was her but it is in NOOOO WAY worth the price and not the quality I would expect a pro artist to respect if that makes sense. For Susie Creamcheese, great but still not worth the cost when the original 183 was about the same price and not the quality that the SE brushes have historically proven to be. They are "decent" not for that price though.

The ELF is a great value, some Sigma I love. Some are just ok. I am quite picky about brushes and maybe I am being too harsh, but from the pic, it looks sucky.
