anyone from the dirty south with that dirty drawl is just my kinda person
I'm from a small town in south western VA (VA Tech area) and when I lived in DC everyone gave me crap for my accent. In Portland, OR, however, they love it. I get free drinks and people begging me to say something in my sexy drawl. I even caught a cute boy from Chicago with this accent I think the accent's gotten stronger out here.Aww. That's so funny, I live about 30 minutes from VA Tech. I don't think I have a strong accent and I have lived in VA my entire life. My boyfriend is from New Jersey and he only makes fun of me for a few words (five and bye would be examples lol).I'm from a small town in south western VA (VA Tech area) and when I lived in DC everyone gave me crap for my accent. Those are my words too. Add in "nine". I never thought it was strong, but everyone else does. Who knows??? I thought I didn't have an accent, but in DC or here in Portland, everyone comments on it. Especially here. I'm always being asked where I'm from. Like they can't figure out the accent, but know I'm not a local. That's so funny, I live about 30 minutes from VA Tech. Really, me too DEEP in Appalachia. Went to Radford but it was north of "home".I'm from a small town in south western VA (VA Tech area) and when I lived in DC everyone gave me crap for my accent. Haha, my husband uses one of those! It really does look kind of like that. It's the new 183SE with special "deco" handle and natural fibers. I don't like it. Looks like those lather up brushes to shave beards.
I love Radford! I took an Appalachian Literature course there last year and it was amazing. I almost transferred schools after that so I could major in Appalachian Studies.Really, me too DEEP in Appalachia. Went to Radford but it was north of "home".Hi Neighbor!!
I prefer mattes though. I still use both cremesheens and lustres my problem with lustres is the fact they kinda get goopy on me. They are high maintenance, unless they are a nude shade.Lustres make my lips super dry........but I love Cremesheens all though they settle into my lines.
I like to have a variety of finishes, depending on the look I'm going for and how my lips are behaving. I think my preference changes a lot a lot on whim, though. Actually, I was on a matte kick all winter even when my lips were dry. I just tried to keep them moisturized and exfoliated as best as I could.I prefer mattes though. I love mattes too, I just make sure I but a lip balm first.......With lustres I can't do that, it's like putting gloss over gloss IMO.I prefer mattes though. I have all different kinds of finishes lol my lips never behave. I usually just go based off color when picking what to wear..however lol when a collection like this comes out I am more inclined to buy mattes lolI like to have a variety of finishes, depending on the look I'm going for and how my lips are behaving. Checking out nowI recommend checking out Beautypedia.com. You can search individually by brand name or by product type. Some people get tweaked that she has her own brand and, of course, rates it highly, but she rates plenty of other products highly, too. The reviews are based on ingredients. She has a list of Best Products arranged by category. In each category they can run the gamut from really inexpensive to expensive. That way you can find things in your own price range and test them on yourself. http://www.paulaschoice.com/beautypedia-skin-care-reviews/best-products/ I tend to ignore the makeup reviews, since she's very conservative about color (she's into neutrals) and finish (she's into mattes), and i am not - i like a riot of colors and i'm not afraid of sparkle. But i do trust the skin care reviews.
Ooof, I haven't been around to catch up on this thread but Mac-Guy, I am shocked, SHOCKEDAgreed, the era of the "grand MSF" is over. It has been over for quite a while, at least in my books. For me, it stopped after the MSF with the nipples
