I have the discontinued Too Faced Aqua Bunny cream bronzer, and although it is dark in the pan, I found it very usable on my NC/NW 15-20 skintone. I like that it is a reddish bronzer. It mimics my natural tan really well. It is also water proof. I don't know why it was discontinued but maybe people were scared of how dark it looked in the pan. I also have Nars Laguna and Benefit Hoola.
i do not think it's the color it's more of a texture issue. women mostly do not like cream bronzers. it was not selling well

I love the texture. I find it very blendable and natural looking on me, and despite being a cream, it lasts on my combination skin.

I understand but it's not the preference of most of the customers.
I often layer my powder bronzers over it. I really enjoy combining my creams and powders. I do that for my contour, too, as well as my eyeshadows and sometimes with cream/powder blushes. Very dimensional look.

cream blushes and bronzers sales have been outpacing across all lines recently. The preference of customers is shifting to cream products for a glowy, radiant look *twinkle twinkle*.

Sales are still strong for powder blushes and bronzers (note I said outpacing).

good for you.. it's a great way to get dimension and longevity. I used to work in front of cameras and that was the only way to really get a good dimension (before HD) and also durability.

I don't have access to Too faced sales numbers so I would not try to guess it's cream bronzer sales. Many companies discontinue products to update or renew different lines, not necessarily because of sales. Mac is a glaring example.

I am speaking from my experience from selling too faced among other brands for couple of years. (since 2009). that bronzer was not selling. tester always looked nasty, and even though it was a nice product when you show that to a customer they would always make a face
sick.gif
plus when they realize it's a cream product they get scared and do not want to deal with that. it's always an issue trying to introduce cream products - blushes, bronzers... women are not so used to them. they are worried they will not know how to apply it etc...
Again I am speaking from my experience. I think I sold 1 TF cream bronzer

For MAc, I used to see cream product don't sell out that fast at the counter. Somehow, I am one of those who pick up cream products.
It is to create glowy and more natural effect, it is easier to control and to smooth it out. I normally put them on before foundation. Powder, I do it the other round. The color will show out more.

Eye shadow , I also prefer the cream one (no worries abt the powder fall off), somehow the color selection is less.
