Yeah I don't think she gave it a low grade just because of the color. She actually didn't say much bad about it just that it wasn't as pigmented as the last version and that it lasted only a little while on the lips but that's understandable ^_^

and they are not long lasting.. which is why I don't like them either. Last about 1 hour on me.. ick

the term yes.. but the finish is perfect.. it's frosty sheen without much reflection. wish I could show you

FROSTS are going to be front and center for trends this coming season.. for A/W they will be muted frosts, S/S hot crazy frosts

I guess CB 96 will be getting more love. The frosts in the Fall Trend Lip Palette were pretty good. My favorite there was the mauve-pink frost.

I have one Chanel Velvet and if I could own them all I would,such a beautiful lipstick formula and the colors... *drools* I adore chanel lipsticks!

Yeah that is why I use most of my frosts as a layering lipstick same with the glaze finish lipsticks. Unless it's dark color like New york apple then I just use a liner and reapply when needed because it's pretty haha

Thanks for the tip that it went up for pros! I got almost everything (they didn't have Legendary Lure available) that I wanted, but I wanted to check out the blushes, Soul Serenade (so I can swatch it in person against my Moth Brown) and Water Deities ( swatch against Nymphette) in person anyway, so I'll grab it in store. I picked up: Aphrodite's Shell, Silver Sun, Fathom's Deep, Mystical, Goddess of the Sea, Seducing Sound, and Modern Lure.

totally agree that's why I make sure I read why she gave it that grade and if it's just because of staying power and I like the color then I might get it but she has to grade it some way. I mean it's lipstick it's not going to last forever if you want to eat and drink during the day haha

Very true and especially if you're like me and take off the lip of the day to eat. I always have to redo my lips after eating, so it's only going to last until I'm ready to chow down again.
