When I say shorts, I mean Bermuda shorts. So, they are sort of longer. I don't even look at regular shorts.
Lol oh! Bermuda shorts I like. When I say shorts, I mean Bermuda shorts. So, they are sort of longer. I don't even look at regular shorts.
Ah yes it's PCS season again. Yes, I totally would not trust movers with my makeup collection, I took my entire makeup stash with me all the way across the country from AK. Lou said she lost her mac brushes in the move. Also for the makeup items you're not taking with you, it's good to take meticulous pictures of them so if they get lost/damaged you get full reimbursement (but I'm sure you know that alreadyReally, I need to stop shopping. We are moving in July AND going on vacation to Florida and so I bought a new big ol' makeup bag. Several new shirts and a few pairs of shorts. Stila had a 40% off sale so a grabbed the Turquoise smudge stick and 3 of the new magnificent metals eye shadows. Then I ordered my daughter a case and headphones for her ipad that my mom bought her. Hopefully it will keep her busy one the 9 hour international flight. Then I ordered this cute little false lash case that holds 4 pairs (So cute!) and I'm still waiting on my Toying around from Playland to arrive (it was on backorder) and now this. I need to STOP. haha
I couldn't agree more. The only thing that I would add is: When you love it, BU it, but skip products that ain't for your complexion or you are unsure about.
@HerGreyness, shall we co-write a book on the golden rules of smart make up purchases?
No way!! The problem I was finding was that last time we left and came straight to our destination, so having my stash accessible wasn't really a big deal. This time we are going to be making some stops and I'm gonna want to use it. So I ordered a big bag with removable compartments and I have a couple smaller makeup bags that I think I will use to pack things away that I am not going to use, and then use the large compartment bag while on vacation. I want to bring most of it in my carry on, but I know some of the liquid stuff is gonna have to go in my checked bags. My makeup collection is just much larger this time than it was last time I moved. lolAh yes it's PCS season again. That is always the case. Good luck and happy travels along the way. I know it is too much to ask but I never want to PCS again. I am too old for that ish.No way!! So did I on all my moves (fortunatly only 4 so far)....I would never ever and under no circumstances let movers transport my make up stashAh yes it's PCS season again. I actually enjoy it. I have fun finding a new place and decorating. My dad joined the army before I was born and was in for 24 years, by then I was already married and my husband was in the Army. I always said I would never marry a military man, and I met my husband who had long hair and was in a band (drool) and then he up and flipped the script on me and decided to join (I married him anyway!). I actually like moving, but when I was 16 and had to move in the middle of high school, I was a bit mad about it. After 24 years, my mom was totally over moving. She is happy to be stationary at this point. That is always the case. Good luck and happy travels along the way. I know it is too much to ask but I never want to PCS again. I am too old for that ish.
I hope y'all get what you are hoping for. I know it's always nerve wrecking waiting on boards, lists and packets. A few years ago my husband was working really hard to get a warrant packet in and he was on pins and needles waiting to see if he was accepted. It worked out for him, hopefully it will you you too.I better be careful what I wish for, we are waiting on promotion lists right now or there might not be any PCS moves ever for us.
I am over it. My kids are 13 and 14 and I want some stability for them in High School. I love the house we bought last and am ready to stay settled.I actually enjoy it. It seems like all other branches have put out their list so far but not the one we are looking for. At least we have another year for sure here. He travels with this job so we are between TX and the midwest a LOT but I kinda of like how it has been the last year and a half. Plus, just knowing there are separation boards for all O's 2-6 is scuuury. What was 75-80% promotion rate is now less than 50%.I hope y'all get what you are hoping for. Well we know it is where we are coming back to either way. Home for him and his family are about 2 hours from there so that is a BIG bright side.
Hopefully you can stay there for a long time
I promise you that those of us on here that live some version of it could come up with a much more realistic version for you lol. Some of it I am like ok, cool. Then some I am screaming and SMDH.Girls, you remind me to catch up on the last two seasons of Army Wives.
