I'm surrounded by babies. I was an 80s girl. I know all about frost lippies, neon, rocking bold eye, cheeks and lips at the same time, spiky hair, final net and those little butane curling irons in my purse and eyeliner that came to a point in the inner part of the eye together with a cat eye.
My own personal rule is that if I rocked it the last time the trend came around (skinny jeans, neons, etc.) then I'll leave it for my daughters and not look ridiculous trying to be something I'm not again. The last time I was in Aeropostale (getting a Bethany Moda tee for my 12 year-old) one of the girls working there tried to sell me an ivory lace miniskirt from the collection. I'm sure I looked stunned for a minute and explained that I wasn't shopping for myself (at Aero, no less). She assured me that they have my size. I had to explain that just because someone can fit into something doesn't mean they should wear it.
