I'm so sorry that this happened! I would say buy in store too so that you can make sure you get what you want. Did you call your local department store about the launch? I just did, and they said it was launching on the 22nd (this is at the Bay), but I just called back and they are looking into it. They also said that they received limited stock and to make sure I was there at opening---how stressful is that!LADIES!
I need your help/advice. I ordered on Thursday morning on the Canadian MAC site when the collection launched and got two lippies and a shadow. I wanted to buy two more shadows and a gloss, but I wanted to do that at the store so that I could use my gift cards (HBC/store GCs).
I haven't rec'd my shipping confirmation yet and it's a long weekend here as Monday is a holiday, so it seems I won't get my confirmation until next week now. Yet, MAC confirmed on FB that they are launching the collection on Monday at HBC stores (MAC Counters in dept. stores) on May 19th, Monday.
During Punk Couture I ordered Instigator on Dec 26th and it was shipped on JANUARY 10th!!! YES. I know. Ridiculous. When I rec'd it, it was broken and I had to return it and pay for postage. More ridiculousness. I was not impressed.
I'm nervous about waiting for them to ship it. If I miss the launch in stores next week and my stuff is broken/sold out from my online order, I'll be pissed.
What to do??!???? I don't know if I can cancel my order or not. I don't have a lot of online ordering experience with LE collections.

a look I did today with golden bronzer on my cheeks, loreli, silver sun, and legendary lure on my eyes and clearwater on my lips... Let me just say these eyeshadows are a dream to work with and so stunning in person no regrets at all! And I know everyone bashes on golden bronzer but its perfect for nc15.

I'm not even sure how one can track how long a product lasts/fades. What are the parameters? There are so many factors that need to be considered: activities during the day, lighting (is the light under which you are "trying" to see when it faded consistent throughout the day, how does your moisturizer performing with the product that you are reviewing, etc. I could make a VERY long list.

I'm sure that her die-hard fan base wouldn't wear SS after her swatch. I really see the bright side here: bad T swatch = bad review = more products for me.

Exactly. there are too many factors to determine an accurate wear time, especially over other things. Oh well, I am just glad it helps us out in the end.
