We have a few bengal breeders in my area, but I have a hard time with the whole idea of buying a cat and an expensive one at that, when there are so many in shelters and on the streets. I always look in the shelters for bengals hoping to find one, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I have read tons about them and they sound like the type of cat I would like to own. You very well could be right about the allergy thing and since mine aren't extreme anyway, it could work out for me.He knows he is pretty - if he had been a girl, he would have been a show cat (and kept by his breeder). You might try hanging around some bengals to see if you are allergic to them as well - because they are hybrids, their genetics are just a bit different. Sometimes that difference is enough to *not* trigger allergies. They are handfuls though - more along the lines of an active dog than a cat, regardless of what that picture I posted above shows =)
