MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

Hey Ladies! Just another vent here. Because I haven't been BITCHING enough right!??? MAC just emailed me CANCELLING MY ORDER.   YES.  I'm so sick of this BS.  I am going to take a break after this collection and really rethink what I am doing.  MAC Canada seems to suck.  I don't understand how they can't keep track of their inventory.  If it's an issue, do a release, then do a restock once you know you have the products.  Don't oversell and then cancel.  They seem to have lost their roots and gotten a little too big for their britches w/o figuring out a good system.  I love their makeup and quality (usually), but I'm not sure it's worth this BS.  Thanks for letting me get that out Ladies!

Hey, same thing happened to me. I noticed a few items missing on the shipping confirmation I finally received yesterday. Call them, they told they couldn't fulfill the order. 24 hours later I received an email to notify me. BS. Anyway I called again today and they have a list of everyone it happened to. Lady I spoke to was confident that they would receive enough stock to fill the cancelled orders and is just going to put mine through as soon as they have stock. If you decide you still want the items, trying giving cs a call.

Thanks Girl! I got on right at 730 Pacific and thought it was all good. Ahhhh. I guess cuz I ordered lippies. What did you get??? So exciting! I hope I can get all the items I want tomorrow. I got a really coveted beer for Hubs today, so maybe I'll have more LE luck tomorrow!

At 6am when it still hadn't launched, I hit the hay because I had a full day and needed a bit of shut eye--I ordered around 8:30 or 9:00 and by then most of the lipsticks and eyeshadows were gone. I had only wanted to get AS, but ended up ordering both ED bronzers along with the only two eyeshadows available (SS and LL). At the time I kicked myself for lack of restraint, but I actually am really happy with everything and am going in bright and early tomorrow for more!

Most of the Mac stores in Vancouver have pulled stock for the AA makeover appointments scheduled for tomorrow. Don't know if this is the case for your store, but I was told to get there first thing because stock is low.

I want to try some of the other MAC foundations, but they won't give me samples at the local store  (I'm in Germany and I don't speak the language well, so I get intimidated easily lol) so once I get back to the states I'm going to explore some more.  The last year or so MAC has expanded many of their foundation lines to include some lighter shades.  Even the studio Fix powder has some new shades like NW10 and NW18.  I have thought about just sanitizing a bowl and mixing both of my Studio Fix fluids and then putting them back in the bottles mixed to the right shade, I just haven't gotten the guts yet.  Besides I have pumps on the bottles, so that makes it soooo much easier to just squirt out one or two pumps from each bottle.  When I add face and body, it gets tricky, I have to actually pour those out. 

I enjoy Studio Tech pretty well.

My PMP was shipped USPS and I got a shipping notification on the 15th, but when I checked yesterday, It had just been received. It usually takes about a week to 10 days to get stuff out here, but it's going be be at least another 5 days before it gets here. BOOO!

You are having the same problem I am right now!
I hope it gets to you soon. I hate waiting for online orders.
I ordered on monday morning early in the a.m........
Shipped 5pm that same day.....
No updates on UPS even now!

Good to know girl, thanks! I'm going to Langley on my break (counter at HBC). I hope I have luck! I'm pretty lucky, so you never know. I can go on my break, so that's maybe a few hours after the launch. I hope there's still stuff left for me!

Good luck getting the rest of your goodies tomorrow! Sounds like you got some great items already! I can't wait to see SS in person!

I enjoy Studio Tech pretty well.

I actually have a compact of Studio Tech, but I just haven't been loving it. How do you apply it? I think that's my problem. I don't like a super heavy coverage. I was to feel like I am wearing very little on my skin.

I literally ordered 1 lippie and one brush. I don't understand why it took so long. It seems like they filled my order pretty quickly, but they it sat around the warehouse for days before they handed it over to the postal service. Oh well, I can't complain too much at least it's on it's way. PMP was THE one thing I really wanted that was sold out locally and I had to wait for the US site to launch to order it. I've already have Siren Song and AS for weeks, so I'm over waiting on this collection. lol

  hmmm I should have written that I tried the studio fix powder. I think i might be in the middle like you. i can't mix the powders but I wouldn't go through all that trouble you do. wow. that's a lot of work.  When sephora, chanel, or Dior people match me i'm always in between 2 shades. there is never a perfect match and I only would use the powder so I can't mix them. It's probably why I don't bother with foundation to begin with. I tried to be matched with Urban Decay too. they said I was a 2.0 in the naked skin but it didn't match up the same with the powder version. I also tried the Sephora camera thingy but that didn't work at all. the shades it picked were all over the place.  There must be an easier solution for you. I wouldn't have the patience for 4 different products

Yeah I'd definitely try some more samples. It stinks your MAC doesn't let you take them. Did you try and have them match you while in store? Mine tried to tell me to buy 3 of the powders and just return what didn't work. That is so wasteful. I didn't do that option but I figured eventually someone will figure out my shade. My CCO has the powders so I may get one and try it out. I hope you find a good match! I don't think I'd mix the foundations though, this way if you tan or get lighter you can always adjust your shade unless you just mix a weeks worth or so at a time. (I know nothing about foundations though)

It has been pretty cold here so I am pretty sure you will get PMP in one piece. That is what I was worried about melty or broken stuff.
Did you post a pic of you in AS and Siren Song? If not I want to see....and if yes then I need to find it lol

I suppose I am a little worried just because it has never happened to me before.  Nordies always pulls out all the stops and makes it an enjoyable delivery process and this time with my beloved AS in its hands they are not. They shipped that crap out and haven't updated nada!  I have never experienced this with nordies ever. I am starting to think itll come when yours does!.

Mine is also coming on the 29th UGH. I live in NYC and I've usually had really fast shipping with Macy's!! I did notice that it shipped by UPSMI instead of normal UPS.... which I'm pretty sure is the reason it's taking this long. I never would've ordered from Macy's if I had known it'd take almost 2 weeks to come......

At least I'm getting free sunglasses... LOL

Just got home from work & I was excited to see a little black box - until I opened it. The only thing I ordered from the MAC website was Delphic & disappointed is an understatement! I thought it would at least have a sheen or glow, but NOTHING! The packaging is gorgeous though. Thankfully I was able to get the other things I wanted from Nordstrom (fingers crossed). I just called MAC & asked for a return shipping label. Definitely not going to let it sit forever. NC50 btw.
