I don't understand why anyone argues this.  Contours should not be warm.  Period.  I mean, I understand the appeal of getting one product to do two things, but I don't think it works in this case.  Bronzer is bronzer.  Contour is contour.  I do my bronzer placement slightly differently from this, especially in my forehead area (usually adding a touch more to the top hairline than to to the temples) but that is just because I have a tall, narrow forehead and it works out a little better for me because I don't generally like to put a lot of contour up there, but for most people, this is perfect.
:werd: it's not rocket science. Lots of products are multipurpose, but there are some that just aren't. :nono:
LOL...can't forget the wings!
I don't leave home without em!
You know your the head teacher! Lol. You really give great advice. :)
I try.
I love when she switches to her accent  Erin, if we're supposed to add the bronzer to our cheekbones, where do we place the blush? Or is wearing blush with a bronzer overkill? Sorry if you answered this already but this thread is moving fast.
Blush goes on the apples of the cheeks and fades back towards the cheekbones into the bronzer. And you can wear either or both. It's a personal preference.
About using bronzer as I contour ..I went into mac store and the mua I wanted a product for contour and he suggested msfn in deep dark (yikes I know right!!) but much to my amazement it looked friggin fantastic he popped it on me and voila it was so natural looking I will never use anything else needless to say I snapped it up ..never gone a day with out it *i do sometimes place a little round my hairline down nose and jaw blend it's flawless.btw c4 in summer c3 winter.Sorry for the long comment ladies!!im looking forward to getting refined golden for that beachy look for the summer and a/s as I blusher/pop
Freestanding stores (not pro stores), like counters, don't have contouring products, when a customer wants to contour, they have to use what they can, even when it's not the right product. Even tho they're a great product (my HG face product), MSFNs aren't the right product to use to contour. They just aren't the right colour. The definition of a contour is a shadow. Shadows are grey. MSFNs aren't grey. They just aren't.
Thanks for posting this.  When I think of Bronzer, I think of the high points of your face.. the places where a sun would warm up your skin naturally.  One of the MUA youtube ladies I subscribe too always uses hoola bronzer as a contour and a bronzer.  Drives me nuts.  While we are talking about contour, what do you use for your contour?  I have been using MAC's sculpting cream in pure sculpture but I feel like it's a bit too warm.  My worry is getting something that is much to dark for my skin tone.
I actually don't contour on myself. I naturally have stronger cheekbones that are accentuated even more by the way i apply my blush, and i LIVE for highlighting. But i do have Sculpt sculpting for the occasions that i do need to contour, and I'm an NC20. Sculpt is AMAZING!!!
Mac is so confused! I chatted online to ask about the possible restock of the lippies & was told they will definitely be restocked but she couldn't give me a date so she told me to call customer sevice. I called & a guy told me that they had no plans of restocking & that it must be a mistake that it says "coming soon" smh
MAC customer service and online are completely separate from each other, and don't even share the same inventories. So one wouldn't know a thing about the other.
All this talk about contouring reminded me that I read somewhere a while back that the pro longwear shadow in fashion fix is a good color for contouring. I've been wanting to check it out to see if that's the case, but I always forget. Do you ladies and gents have any opinions on that?
I dunno about that. You could probably mix it with another face powder to give it that grey tone that contours need, but i think it might be too grey. Definitely not by itself tho :nope:
I love contouring! If only I could get it right. I have a round face and always have a hard time getting it to come out right.
Mandy beat me too it, but i agree. Just contour your cheekbones and that's all you'll need to do.
If anybody couldn't find the shadows or blushes PM me! I have extras due to miscommunication and I want them to go to a good home :)

I bought my first back up!!! I picked up another Siren Song because I'm just so in love with it! [@]erine1881[/@] I'm officially on team depot / team pro palettes!!! I picked up the six pan blush insert. I plan to depot my blushes sometime this week! I need to make room in my blush drawer for NARS Gina! Haha! Any tips on depotting?
Woohoo! Take your time, and go slow. And start with a crappy shadow that you don't mind ruining

Thanks! I wasn't too sure since the few swatches I've seen online look so different from each other. It looks like a great color for the eyes though, so maybe this summer I will finally buy a few of the pro longwear shadows.

^^ @erine1881 = makeup Morpheus. I just learned so much from your responses. Sure enough, a while back, a MAC MA did get me to buy MSF Medium Dark as a contour and it looked too warm. Lesson learned: spend more time on Specktra and then go to the store!

Did anyone get any of the nail polishes, specifically the teal green one, Submerged? I pretty much draw the line at $8-9 for nail polish so I didn't pick it up. I saw what I thought might be a workable dupe from Sally Hansen and got that today but it turned out to be a huge dud. I can't get the color of that polish off my mind.

I bought another Siren Song

Its really pretty if you LIGHTLY use it on just the outer edges of the lips, leaving the 'center' of the lips bare & then applying a soft shade at that bare center & then smoosh your lips together.

I used Casual Color Young at Heart for the bare center. Sooo soft, natural & pretty
