I read your review of the blush. So sorry to hear that you have trouble with it. It is definitely on the stiffer side, thus make sure to use a firm brush. Personally, I prefer the 169. It's perfect when you need firmer bristles to pick up product. Softer brushes, likes the 168 or paddle versions like the 159 gave me sub ideal results. But the 169 works like a charm. I don't think this is a texture problem, rather than not-the-right-tool issue (which can be easily fixed). I also suggest that you try to clean the surface with BeautySoClean. This blush needs a dead clean brush. Any residue (powder, oils from your skin, etc.) will create a surface layer that will make it very hard to use this product as it is intended to do. BeautySoClean (or any similar products) should help to get rid of the surface layer. Hopefully you can enjoy this blush. IMO, it is a must-have if you love neutral looks. Enjoy!
