I get hot flashes from just being me lol and at least you have AC I am planning to get something done soon to help the house situation of AC

I had my swamp cooler working and the piece of crap went all psycho and stopped working..so now I am in an even hotter house

I honestly don't get the hype of RHPS. I get the premise, get that it's a cult classic, but just don't get it.
Alright, any Northies who had the winter from Hell are WAY justified to wish for scorching heat! It was pretty mild here outside of the few days of silliness we had when the arctic doom came along but it still was tolerable and not so bad with a jacket/light sweater combo when it was in the 20s. It hasn't even started getting really hot here and I already can't stand it, so anyone who wants to switch, I'm down!

I actually enjoyed our Winter. Most of us NYers hadn't really had a winter in years. This past winter was wonderful for us cold weather lovers. I am not enjoying this heat at all. I prefer cooler temps like Fall, Spring and even Winter over Summer any time. That is just me. I do enjoy having all four seasons so I will deal the best I can with the heat, but I am praying we get an early Fall.

Now that I have to agree with. I can't stand a hot house either. But I don't like fans/central air. And add humidity, and sinus issues, Summers can be really rough on me. But I love them. The festivals, riding my bike on the lake, bbq's, being in the park, riding around the city discovering what's out there. In the winter, I go to work and come home... that's about it.

I keep my ceiling fans running year round on top of my ac (ac is off in Winter) and can't stand when the air feels still. I want every cranny of the house to feel cool and comfy!

Bring on the heat. I'm in Jersey and work in NYC and the winter was brutal this year. No more 10 degree days, I'll take the 90 degree weather and avoid the subway.
